Hey collars!
Tired of waiting for news about the renewal of our favorite show? Let's make some noise and tell whoever is dragging their feet that we mean business!
The idea is to make #whitecollarforS6 trending on Twitter next monday.
So, go to Twitter Feb. 24 around noon EST (do the math if you're in another time zone) and tweet (then tweet, and tweet again) #whitecollarforS6

You might want to include @WhiteCollarUSA @USA_Network @USA_PR @FOXTV @ASepiol @TedonTV to make sure they get the message.

Feel free to repost on your LJ to pass on the message!

Just a quick note that I've answered all the questions!
Now, on to the squee and some icon making!

Oh and apparently Alex has become a Person of Interest. ;-)

And it appears that when I type while not paying attention because I just caught sight of Alex, my fingers tend to type "Peter" instead of "Person"...

ETA: Heee and Alex is meeting the mob guy from Book of Hours! :-)
Yay, let's play with all the cool kids!

Choose a number, any number, and I will give you a very likely long-winded answer. :)

The mission for those of us who answer the questions, should we accept it, is to stay positive about our writing and ourselves, but to also be fair about our shortcomings. Feel free to request a number if it's already been requested, and I'll try to expand upon the answer already given or come up with a different angle/answer. (Also, feel free to request multiple numbers if you're having a hard time choosing!)

And feel free to adapt the questions to art and vidding too.

1. Of the fic you’ve written, of which are you most proud?
2. Favorite tense
3. Favorite POV
4. What are some themes you love writing about?
5. What inspires you to write?
6. Thoughts on critique
7. Create a character on the spot... NOW!
8. Is there a character you love writing for the most? The least? Why?
9. A passage from a WIP
10. What are your strengths in writing?
11. What are your weaknesses in writing?
12. Anything else that you want to know... (otherwise known as Fill in the Blank)

(With a season finale that I'm sure will be intense and a busy weekend away, I'll probably answer only next week. But I WILL answer, so come play!)

After an epic fail 2 weeks ago - showing was full - I finally managed to see The Wolf of Wall Street yesterday.
Movie was great, Leo delivered an impressive performance. And I couldn't help thinking about all the White Collar parallels.

First there's that FBI Agent, Agent Denham, who looks determined to pin something on Leo's character (Jordan Belfort). Of course, he reminded me of Peter Burke.
And there's this conversation between the two of them, where you can see the differences of values (Belfort is literally throwing money away, the Agent is satisfied with his life and job even if that means taking the subway. His own joy in life is to catch people like Belfort). Truly that exchange is brilliant. And the Agent was of the straight  kind, one that would not take a bribe, but who might let you believe he could just to let you talk and have something on you (he's smart, too. ;-) )
And I kept thinking, that would totally be White Collar is Neal Caffrey was a despicable asshole (and without the Bromance. Which could sound less appealing, except, you know, Martin Scorsese!)
And that tiny detail that sealed it. When Denham comes to see Belfort, there's a second agent with him, who, honestly, is like totally useless in that scene. Just standing there... Except he is introduced as Agent Hughes! Now that made me smile big time.
So, it's my new head canon that Hughes was part of that team working on the Belfort case. That's totally a White Collar crime, that's all about fraud and a number of other white collar crimes we hear on the show. And it's in New York. It was in the 80's. That's totally working!

And that finale FBI bust, with all the famous navy windbreaker... Ah pure delight!
Once upon a time, I was a subscriber to TIME Magazine.
But after months without even opening an issue for lack of time, I unsubscribed.
Recently I ventured the internet for some Sherlock related stuff, and I stumbled across a picture of an issue of TIME from a few months ago where Benedict Cumberbatch was on the cover. And I was all "damnit, see you shouldn't have stop your subscription!"  (I think I'm developing a crush on BC....)

Today, I received an email from TIME, saying "Come Back to TIME" "we make you a super offer" (which is actually a super offer!) And to convince me that I really should subscribe again, they illustrated their email with the cover with Benedict Cumberbatch on it!

How did they know?! Big Brother is watching me! The NSA is spying on me! /o\
Oh but if so, Big Brother, listen. I won't subscribe unless you put Tim DeKay and Matt Bomer together on the cover of TIME Magazine.
Hello fellow collars,

We're 48 hours from our little fan gathering in Paris!
For those who cannot attend, we've set up a little chatroom. The channel is #collarsinparis2014
You can access it from http://webchat.freenode.net/ or any of your usual chat service (I think?)

We'll probably try to hang out in the chat room friday afternoon while everyone is arriving as well as friday night and saturday night (European Time! That's six hours ahead of New York Time)
According to Willie, they should start filming Season 6 in 8 to 12 weeks!

Now the big question is: Will The Curls have time to grow back in 8 to 12 weeks?
Yes, fandom, I still love you. I get mad at you sometimes, and I occasionally find you frustrating, but that's because I care about you. Yes, fandom, I love you.
Fandom stockings are finally revealed. I had a lot of fun stuffing stockings for as many fandom friends as I could, and finally opening my own was an immense pleasure. Thank you everyone for the wonderful greetings, arts, wallpapers, picspams and fiiiics !!♥♥
If Santa doesn't exist, fandom love sure does! and it's spreading all over the internet.
Dear fandom,

I'm tired of the difference of treatment Peter and Neal receive from the fandom.
Basically, whatever shenanigan Neal plots, it's excused because he has a good reason, and he has a good heart. And Peter has never the right to be the slightest angry at Neal for that, because otherwise he's just mean, cruel, ungrateful, sanctimonious and hypocrite.

This is not fair. This is not fair to Peter, nor it is fair to the show.
This is something between articulated demonstration that Peter is NOT a monster (again) and ... a little bit of a rant, maybe. )
Sholio is holding a Diana Squeefest! So come celebrate our favorite female agent! Come squee, leave prompts, answer prompts, share art... There's always a reason to celebrate Diana!
[livejournal.com profile] kerrylang asked "Could you imagine ever to live in the USA, and if, where in the States you would like to live?"

I don't know if I would want to live forever in the States, because it's far away from my family and friends, but I'd love to live there for a couple years. I'm actually trying to find a job opportunity...
As for where, I want to live in a cool place. What sounds cool from over here at least. There's New York City, of course. Washington could be nice too. I'd love to live in California too (LA, San Franscico, San Diego). Some place big. Given my natural resistance to extreme weathers, I'd rather live somewhere sunny and warm.

Sorry, that was kind of short. :-/
And with that, I've completed the Ramble Meme ! \o/

Bonus: Peter has  just seen a Tyrannosaurus Rex
[livejournal.com profile] pipilj asked "What is your favorite book/tv show/movie? which ever u prefer to write about and why?"

Cool question. Why not the three, book, tv show AND movie?
A little cultural ramble )
I've re-uploaded all my fanvids to Youtube. My brand new channel is now under the name Aragarna.
If you're a Google+ person, everything's linked. Not that I really count ever doing anything of it, but if you add me to your circle, you should be alerted of new uploads.

I've also fixed all the broken links of my previous video posts. My Video Master List is up and running again.

Oddly, I have no clue where is that short video of Matt Bomer's fake commercial from Glee. I'll have to re-rip it and I'll re-upload it one day.
Apart from that one, and the Bizarro Jerry video, I won't post anything else than fanvids on youtube.
Vimeo will have the honor of all my future more-or-less-legal vidding activities.
Apparently, this wasn't long enough, because I thought about a couple more points.

More ramble on what an extraordinary man Peter Burke is. )
[livejournal.com profile] elrhiarhodan asked "Why Peter Burke?"

LOL do you really need to ask? I mean, isn’t that obvious?

More seriously, a little ramble... )

Still taking one or two questions.
[livejournal.com profile] sheenianni asked " If you could have one superpower, what would it be? :P  Alternatively, which of Neal's (or Mozzie or Peter's) numerous skills would you most like to possess?"

Oh funny question!

Ramble still open for a couple of questions.

Ramble Meme #4

aragarna: (Peter smiling)
[livejournal.com profile] sholio asked "If you could have anything you wanted happen on White Collar, what would you most like to see on screen? :D"

Now, that is a tough question!
Let's ramble! )

Still Taking Questions! Don't feel like you have to do the meme to ask a question by the way.

Ramble Meme #3

Dec. 8th, 2013 12:55 pm
aragarna: (Mozzie)
[livejournal.com profile] lov_pb asked "What iconic site did you enjoy the most on your first visit to NYC?"

I might have to transform slightly the question and add a s to "iconic site", because that's the thing with NY, everything is iconic. Everything is incredible.
My first time in New York was during summer 2010. It would have been the perfect time to go hunting the White Collar set. Unfortunately, I didn't know White Collar yet. I would only discover it a few months later... So, yes, I walked up and down all the streets of Manhattan, totally oblivious of the fact that somewhere close were Tim, Matt and everyone... Believe it or not, I did see some filming in the middle of Times Square. It was a sort of musical scene for the movie Friends with Benefits, with Justin Timberlake (Justin wasn't there, it was just a crowd dancing around)

Illustrated Ramble )

Ramble still opened to questions
I've decided to join the [community profile] fandom_stocking party this year! I'll do my best to give everyone a little something. :-)
If you wish to leave me a treat, my own stocking is here.

Happy Holiday season !!
