#Sherlocklives #Sherlocknotdead #SherlockHolmesisback !! \o/
And there was no better way to kick off this brand new year !
I'm among the lucky ones who discovered that brilliant series late enough that I only had to wait about 6 months to know "how he did it?!"
Not that we actually got a clear answer... No, because the show is more clever than that. We got 3 possibilities, none for sure. I would say the last one is the most likely, though I also love the first and second for this:
Heeeee !
Also, after I watched the last episode of season 2, I went online to try and find some info. I didn't find anything about season 3, but I did read a lot of speculations on how Sherlock did it... And well, it was basically all in the 3 versions (ok, maybe not the Sherlock/Moriarty one). I don't know whether the fans are obsessively clever or if the writers read all the hypotheses online to find possible explanations.
Though to be fair, I do think the writers are clever enough to figure a solution on their own, and I'm sure they had it all planned already in their head. Because this show is so well written it hurts the brain. It's incredible how little things that seemed odd or duh in previous seasons are suddenly making more sense from the new perspective.
So, anyway, we don't know for sure, how he did it, and yet, I can't say I feel cheated because that episode was so good!
I so love this show. It's like White Collar, twice as good. (Yes, I did say that.) We only get 3 episodes every seasons (And let's hope it's not gonna be every two years again), but each episode, and each full season is seriously thought through. The show is clever, challenging, engaging and wonderfully shot. The actors are awesome, the dialogues are chiselled, the humor is "so British", and the Sherlock Holmes mythology is perfectly mastered.
Oh and this is definitely the other best bromance on TV.
Contrary to other versions (from the Guy Ritchie movies, to House/Wilson), the partnership between Holmes and Watson actually works. If Sherlock is indeed a sociopath, he is not abusing too much of Watson. He really cares about him (and about Molly too). This Sherlock is more human than most, and the partnership benefits to both men.
So, yes it's true that Sherlock's trick in the tube car where he makes Watson believe he can't stop the bomb was a little mean, but I think he did it because he really wanted Watson to forgive him, because Watson's friendship means a lot to him. Like in the previous season, he was bothered that Watson was upset about the trashing gossips.
And even if Watson wasn't in the mood to appreciate, wasn't Sherlock's waiter disguise the cutest thing he's ever done?
Tonight Elementary starts on French TV. I'm finally going to give it a try, but the bar has been set high...

Date: 2014-01-04 01:09 pm (UTC)There's actually a lot of shows set in NY, or Chicago, whatever, shot in LA. There's even a whole fake NY street in the LA studios that you see in a lot of shows and movies.
But at least you found the perfect opportunity to use that new icon! ;-)
