Forget Agent Burke, this is Agent Pritchard now.
This is just in, according to Deadline, Tim will co-star in the pilot of Frankenstein, alongside Rob Kazinsky.

"Taking inspiration from the basic Mary Shelley mythology of a man brought back to life by scientists playing God, Frankenstein centers on Ray Pritchard (Hall), a morally corrupt retired cop who is given a second chance at life when he is brought back from the dead. Privy to information only a dead man could possess, this former Marine and L.A. County Sheriff (Kazinsky) teams with his son, FBI Agent Duval Pritchard (DeKay), to take down the bad guys. However, though his body is new, his thoughts and desires are of a 75-year-old badass curmudgeon."

I know, right? He doesn't really look like a Duval...

Okay, let's be honest, when you read that pitch, it doesn't exactly sound like my league of shows. But hey, hopefully, Tim back on TV as soon as fall 2015! :)

ETA: For some weird anti-spam reasons, LJ wouldn't let me link back to Deadline, but you can get the link to the original article via teamdekay.org :)

Hmmm, I don't know, for some reason the setup gives me kinda Gotham vibes and I gave up on Gotham after 15 mins, lol

Not the kind of show I would have picked as my guess for Tim's next gig BUT I will sure as hell watch it, heee :D

Well, I don't think Gotham is that bad (I watched the first episode), I just wasn't much interested... And actually, from what I've heard since, it might actually be more interesting that I thought it'd be (the "who's going to become which villain" is apparently more complex that I thought).

If it's that acceptable quality of show, I can go with it.

Plus, we know that whatever material Tim is given, he raises the bar higher. :)

This doesn't sound like my sort of show (it's the knowing things only a dead person knows bit that is making me cautious), but I'll see what others think of it before saying a definite no.

Still, it'll be good for Tim! Though one hopes he doesn't get typecast as a FBI agent after this!

I don't mind Tim being a good guy. ;) And hopefully this one won't have a thing for ugly yellow ties.

But it's funny because back when he was doing Carnivale, Tim was saying it was nice not having to wear a suit and shave every morning, for a change (and then he did Tell Me You Love Me, White Collar and now this LOL)

well this could be another unlikely partnership ..working with a partner that is your own dad ..dead... so again solving cases and catching bad guys
If Tim said yes to this project I think it will be interesting to watch ..
who wouldn't want to watch Matt as guest star in an ep?

It'll all depend if it's well written or not. This kind of weird storyline can be entertaining or totally WTF...
But we'll just have to see, I suppose. ;)

Just took a look - it's interesting, and interesting that he's again cast against a young, rather good-looking co-star.

No, not Philip Baker Hall (who I think is a fab actor, btw), but Rob Kazinsky. Not as yummy as Matty, and certainly not in Tim's league, but then who is?

eheh yeah, I had never heard of him, and thought I'd at least Google that Kazinsky guy, to see what he looked like, and I was pleasantly surprised!

Obviously not Matt, and definitely not Tim, but still easy on the eyes. Which could be good for ratings (and thus the success of the show).

And actually, despite the vaguely wtf original synopsis, it's gonna be an interesting dynamic, that in this partnership, the youngest one is actually the father. A father/son dynamic where Tim is gonna be the son, for once?

Yeah - it's a weird one, that's for certain.

Any word about any female characters?

Not that I've heard. As far as I know, for now the cast comprises Adhir Kalyan, Rob Kazinsky, Tim DeKay and Philip Baker Hall.

Interesting, I didn't catch this detail that the younger looking character was the father. But I'd only read the synopsis you posted and wasn't familiar with the other actor. That does seem to becoming a rather common thing in tv shows these days.

That sounds...bizarre!! :D But yay for Tim being cast as co-lead. I will definitely watch it, hope it gets picked up!

Interesting. I also feel a bit Sleepy Hollow thing going. Whatever, it's all about the characters and the acting being able to "sell" it. And I trust Tim can do that no matter what.

Yes, exactly. I know Tim will do a great job. I just hope the story will be good enough that it'll be entertaining.
