I have so much love for that show!

The undercover operation we've all been waiting for! (well, okay, okay, the second undercover operation we've been waiting for...). Peter and Neal playing father and son!
Oh Jones. "Whatever you need to tell yourself".
And Neal's face when he sees Peter. Neal doesn't like being benched, does he? And he doesn't like when Peter gets all the attention from a beautiful lady...
Peter is getting good at improv' :-)
I love Peter's talk about sculpting his "son" into the man he knows he can be. He's worried about the end. About Neal growing up, and getting his freedom. (I guess that just proves Jones' point ;-) )
I loved Bianca's response too. "As long as he's in your life, you will always have time to make it right."

I love how Peter seems the specialist of manipulating/interrogating people by sharing his true feelings.

The heist was fun! Nothing like a little lift sanctioned by the Bureau! ;-)
(just one little nit-pick, wouldn't have they known from the get-go that the stamp would be kept as evidence?)

Keller!! OMG! That's awesomely clever to have him work as a CI. Because it's going to be more subtile than a frontal confrontation, but yet with still that hanging threat above their heads. Also, interesting to see that they're going to work with Keller *while* both agreeing they still want Keller's head (or will that change now that Keller is officially a CI?). I don't trust Keller not to try to screw them over just for the sake of it, though I do believe he actually wants to take the Panthers down for his freedom. Keller in not above a little dirty work to get what he wants.
And that scene where Neal confronts him was so intense!
I'm really excited about it all. I'm just hoping it's not going too South...

As other people have noticed, it's interesting to see that Peter and Neal are sharing everything. They're learning! I guess it's time to conclude the show then ;-)
But I also noticed that they have rarely been so out of synch in term of their relationship. Peter is really pushing hard for Neal to get his freedom, and showed sincere concern. While Neal is mega super edgy. A little too desperate for his own good. Peter wants to give Neal everything, while Neal just want to run (legally if possible).

Oh Peter getting too eager to have everything ready for when the baby will come. That's adorable. (El might disagree with me in a few months. weeks?)
I'm so happy. I didn't mind them not having a kid, but their joy and excitment, especially on Peter's part, makes me all fussy inside.
And I'm very happy of the way they explained it. Without overdramatizing it. That's exactly how I was seeing it. They tried, it didn't work, they were obviously happy anyway, but now it's a surprise, and they're excited. I actually wanted to write it just like that in the never published sequel to The Cutest Thing.

And I seem to be in the minority but it's making perfect sense to me. Peter, especially, always had that paternal vibe with Neal - even Jones noticed it. And him being awkward around kids doesn't mean he doesn't actually like kids. He just has a communication problem. Which I can totally relate to. But just like he's a wonderful husband that can't flirt, he'll be a wonderful father that will be all awkward with that little thing with two ears... ;-) Until he (or she!) will be old enough for him to teach him (or her!) everything about baseball, the stars, stamps and dinosaurs.

This episode might not have been as intense as the first one, but seriously when I saw on the corner of the screen the countdown for Covert Affair I almost jumped. I had to check my watch to see it was indeed almost 9pm!

That's probably the best one-liner in this episode!

See, I interpret those words as being ominous. All those references to time, coupled with Neal's apparent desperation to be free make me nervous that we are headed somewhere profoundly sad and definitive. And then Jeff Eastin's comment thar a prequel would make more sense than a follow-up movie. I'm hanging all my hopes on Matt and Tim's insistence on a more fan-friendly ending. Yay, boys! I do love the callbacks when they happen and the whole quietly celebratory cigar scene harkening back to the pilot makes me happy.

Yeah, the ending was the sort of happy that made me think things are about to go south.

Before going up again. I honestly don't believe they'll end the show on a very negative note, if they don't have the opportunity to fix it.

I want to believe that, but I've been saying for several years now that I don't know that Eastin understands what kind of show he's running. I think he's always wanted it to be darker than it is. Fortunately, I think Matt and Tim understand the show perfectly.

Which is great, because the ending was brainstormed by Matt and Tim. ;-)

There are millions of reasons why there wouldn't be a "White Collar" sequel. Neal doesn't want to consult now that he's free. Or Peter takes a desk job, now that he's a dad. Jeff has said everything and its contrary. I trusts him (and the team) for a good ending, I don't trust his words.

I loved this episode! So much fun to be had, and humour (Mozzie is soooo going to be the annoying sweet and crazy uncle, and probably want to be there at the birth, lol) and the drama.

And yes, Peter is very good at improv and getting people to talk!

I'm excited to see where things go, though a little concerned about Neal's obsession to be free. He's hoping the people around him can protect him from himself *hugs*

ahah yes Mozzie is going to be sooo pressing about that kid.
Yes, Neal's state of mind is not good. Let's hope Peter will be able to catch him when he'll fall.

OK, Ara please set me straight. Why does Neal think the FBI won't let him go? Is he just wanting to get out of serving his full sentence (in which case 'suck it up Neal') or is he afraid that they'll get him for his other crimes and extend his sentence (in which case 'you committed those other crimes so suck it up Neal')? I love how he's getting more and more antsy, makes me think he's going to do a major mess-up!

I think Neal doesn't trust the FBI not to find a loophole or an excuse to keep him beyond his sentence.
Kramer tried. And now, he's been told that he's too good an asset to let go. The fact that they used his escape to Cape Verde probably makes him feel that they could find anything at their convenience.

It might also be a matter of principle. They promised him a deal and didn't kept their promise. He has paid his debt. He's earned his freedom.

I love how Peter seems the specialist of manipulating/interrogating people by sharing his true feelings.

It really took me a while to realize why he even started that little speech, besides that he could rant about Neal without ranting about Neal.

Peter trying to look old was hilarious, and it is about time that he outdo Neal at his own game.

But I also noticed that they have rarely been so out of synch in term of their relationship. Peter is really pushing hard for Neal to get his freedom, and showed sincere concern. While Neal is mega super edgy.

Neal isn't even aware how much Peter is batting for him. He could lose his job over this.

That's very true, and I think it would do Neal some good to know Peter has his back.
