The undercover operation we've all been waiting for! (well, okay, okay, the second undercover operation we've been waiting for...). Peter and Neal playing father and son!
Oh Jones. "Whatever you need to tell yourself".
And Neal's face when he sees Peter. Neal doesn't like being benched, does he? And he doesn't like when Peter gets all the attention from a beautiful lady...
Peter is getting good at improv' :-)
I love Peter's talk about sculpting his "son" into the man he knows he can be. He's worried about the end. About Neal growing up, and getting his freedom. (I guess that just proves Jones' point ;-) )
I loved Bianca's response too. "As long as he's in your life, you will always have time to make it right."
I love how Peter seems the specialist of manipulating/interrogating people by sharing his true feelings.
The heist was fun! Nothing like a little lift sanctioned by the Bureau! ;-)
(just one little nit-pick, wouldn't have they known from the get-go that the stamp would be kept as evidence?)
Keller!! OMG! That's awesomely clever to have him work as a CI. Because it's going to be more subtile than a frontal confrontation, but yet with still that hanging threat above their heads. Also, interesting to see that they're going to work with Keller *while* both agreeing they still want Keller's head (or will that change now that Keller is officially a CI?). I don't trust Keller not to try to screw them over just for the sake of it, though I do believe he actually wants to take the Panthers down for his freedom. Keller in not above a little dirty work to get what he wants.
And that scene where Neal confronts him was so intense!
I'm really excited about it all. I'm just hoping it's not going too South...
As other people have noticed, it's interesting to see that Peter and Neal are sharing everything. They're learning! I guess it's time to conclude the show then ;-)
But I also noticed that they have rarely been so out of synch in term of their relationship. Peter is really pushing hard for Neal to get his freedom, and showed sincere concern. While Neal is mega super edgy. A little too desperate for his own good. Peter wants to give Neal everything, while Neal just want to run (legally if possible).
Oh Peter getting too eager to have everything ready for when the baby will come. That's adorable. (El might disagree with me in a few months. weeks?)
I'm so happy. I didn't mind them not having a kid, but their joy and excitment, especially on Peter's part, makes me all fussy inside.
And I'm very happy of the way they explained it. Without overdramatizing it. That's exactly how I was seeing it. They tried, it didn't work, they were obviously happy anyway, but now it's a surprise, and they're excited. I actually wanted to write it just like that in the never published sequel to The Cutest Thing.
And I seem to be in the minority but it's making perfect sense to me. Peter, especially, always had that paternal vibe with Neal - even Jones noticed it. And him being awkward around kids doesn't mean he doesn't actually like kids. He just has a communication problem. Which I can totally relate to. But just like he's a wonderful husband that can't flirt, he'll be a wonderful father that will be all awkward with that little thing with two ears... ;-) Until he (or she!) will be old enough for him to teach him (or her!) everything about baseball, the stars, stamps and dinosaurs.
This episode might not have been as intense as the first one, but seriously when I saw on the corner of the screen the countdown for Covert Affair I almost jumped. I had to check my watch to see it was indeed almost 9pm!
