Catching up on Person of Interest because I'm about to change more than a time zone, and I'll need to be up to date in time for S4... So I've started S3 and who is it that I see?Agent Siegel!! (on one of those rawing boat right next to the Burke's favorite spot in Central Park...)

And I'm like "Where the hell were Reese and FInch last year? They could have saved Siegel! Solve it all and spare us (and Peter and Neal) a lot of heartaches..."

Now that I'm hooked to this show, I keep thinking of a cross-over. The fact that there are sooo many common guest stars between PoI and White Collar sure don't help. Like Bruce, was just there. The corrupt politician from Need to Know was in the previous episode. I remember Agent Franklin, and Alex.
(Both shows are shot at Silvercup Studios in NY, I guess this explains that)

So anyway, I've been thinking of a crossover, and I was wondering when Reese and Finch were the most likely to intervene into White Collar. Well, I guess Siegel's number would have made a pretty good one!

Now I dream of an AU where they save Siegel...

I'll take any gen crossovers of WC and POI, thank you! (Bonus points if Bear appears!) :) :)

:-) I'm afraid it'd be too complicated for me. Maybe just because I'm not into PoI enough to write it. (Also I've missed some of the first season and I have a hard time keeping track on the general mythology and who all those brunettes are...)
But yeah, that would be cool. We need to find an author who watches both shows. :-)

I've tried watching POI several times. O.k., three times. I'm not sure about the premise and it's too, consistently dark for me. Frankly, I'd rather see a Blue Bloods crossover where the Commissioner goes head to head with Hughes over jurisdiction and operation issues.

Well, it is dark, and the mythology is rather complicated (I've missed some episodes and I don't understand a thing about what happened in the past). But it's actually well written, and I like the idea that they're trying to save people, as opposed to solve a crime once it's too late.

But I'm noticing something important. It is shot in NY. But it doesn't use and show NY the way WC does. And the sky is more grey than blue. ;-)

Kate.

One of the only cases where they failed. :((

I used to love PoI but like so many shows, almost all but WC oddly enough, I lost the thread about a season and a half ago and havent decided if it's worth it to re-invest.

True. And Ellen.
Also, they should have received Pratt's number too. They might have been able to help there too. Dirty cops are they specialty. ;-)

Well, it took me a while to get invested in that show. I wasn't convinced at the beginning, but a friend of mine really like it and kept talking about it. So when it was shown on French TV, I gave it a try. Problem is a missed some episodes and didn't see them all in order. So, I'm a bit confused. And I've realized I may have missed an episode at the end of season 2...
It get rather complicated in season 3, but it's still a well written enough show. I like it. I've been dropping several shows I used to watch (or they dropped me), so I don't have much left and I'm in the process to diversify...

OH wow that's and idea, and I'm sure I saw somewhere a crossover of WC with POI, but I'm not sure it was finished... hmm you got me thinking now, I do watch POI and saw all episodes :) But with all writing lately someone have to kick me to do this. I love all ideas here... damn they do need Mr. Reese and Harold around!

Well, of course they could have intervened for Kate, or Ellen, but since I got the idea with Siegel here is the idea:
What if they got Siegel's number, got their noses in the business, caught him when he was following Neal and Hagen, and what if they had caught Rachel?
It seems quite a challenge to get it right, but that's the idea...

Alternatively, to get more of Peter and Neal, you could write an independant story that has nothing to do with anything that happened in WC. They got Peter's or Neal's number and try to save the day.

I didn't pay a lot of attention to POI during its first season. I watched it while I was recording it for my mom. I didn't even realize they were doing flashbacks until the second season. LOL. I have the main mythology figured out with some holes. But mostly I just prefer to watch the stand alone episodes that are helping a regular person outside of the continuing storyline. Unfortunately they haven't been focusing on those individual stories as much lately.

My main issue in the mythology is that I can't make one brunette from another in the flashbacks. I agree with you about the standalones, though I have to say that S3 is still very well written.

I don't remember if I noticed Siegel, but they do have a lot of crossover actors.

I once started a crossover fic. It's missing the final chapter, which at some point I'll need to sit down and write :-/ I'd like to read more if anybody writes them.

It was in an early episode. 303 or something so if you're following the US airing it might have been before he appeared on White Collar, depending on when PoI started.

If you're ever finishing that story I'd be interested in reading it. :-)
