My favorite sport is Handball. I've played it a few years as a teenager, that's a sport I really love go and see live. I've had the chance to see some of the best players from up-close.
Unfortunately, in a country so dominated by soccer, it's not often you can follow a competition on national TV. Network channels won't show anything unless France is playing the finale of the world or Europe championship. Luckily, men French team is soooo good that they're almost each time in finale!! :-D
So, I just watched the European Championship Finale. And we woooon!! \o/ Not only did we won, but they delivered a near-perfect match. Poor Danemark didn't stand a chance (and Danemark is a hell of a good team. I've seen Hansen play, he's one of the best players in the world).
But we're just better!! :-P
Final score: 41- 32 for France.
(There's not that many sports where France can so regularly gloat, so forgive me for squeeeeeeing so loud!)

Daniel Narcisse, one of the best. Nicknamed "Air France" because he jumps so high it's like he's flying.

Sounds so familiar! Most of the time, the favorite are screwing up and the ones getting medals are the ones you didn't see coming.
