Seriously, watch this! That jump hunt is funny, but the whole thing is actually educational.

I knew birds were sensitive to the magnetic field, but foxes?!

Dooh that was amazing, okay the Magnetic North thing is a total puzzle and was interesting, but I couldn't stop to think about two things one - it was walking on it's own trail!! And two damn I want to sit in cold weather making photos of that fox jumping head straight into snow... ;)

I've always wondered how they did this! Hearing alone didn't seem enough to explain it somehow. I suspect there are more animals using the magnetic field than we realise! And wow, and the maths the fox does to work out its trajectory? Puts me to shame!! :)

I always think that with cats when they make big jumps! You can just see them calculating it in their head, how much force to apply, how much vertical versus horizontal to land in just the right spot. Amazing.

Those jumps are the damn funniest thing I've seen in ages!

Not to mention, this is incredibly fascinating stuff!

(and yay, I have the perfect icon for this! *is pleased with self*)

Oh wow, that's awesome! I love the flailing back legs in the air. :) The way they measure it up and jump seems very cat-like.
