Well, I rarely agree, but usually it's more obvious they're picking the most popular hot dude of the year. I'm not particularly into Channing Tatum but it seemed a logical choice last year.

Anyway, I like my covers much better. :-)

I love Benedict Cumberbatch but I wouldn't consider him "Sexiest Man Alive".

If he's lucky enough to make a good career, I'm confident he'll make it (not that it is a real achievement per se LOL).
It's objectively difficult to find a sexier man - dead or alive - than Matt!

So true! I'm thinking that this year wouldn't even have been good for him to win it since I assume he looks about as bad as he's capable of looking right now, since TNH filming is supposed to finish right before Thanksgiving, and doing publicity wouldn't be great.

But I agree, it would be nice for them to select an openly gay SMA. But I'm not sure People Magazine would be up to that, unfortunately. They seem to make the most consensual choices that'll sell a max issues...
