It kind of feel strange to "squee" over....

the death of the poor innocent agent who's only fault was to be too diligent at his handler job, but still. WOW, just WOW. Show, you're so devious and daring and I so didn't see it coming.

Having us warm up the ENTIRE episode to David Siegel. Having Neal warm up to his new handler, all that to just kill him off at the end of the episode. God, they didn't even waited next week, didn't even give us the time to have enough of Siegel. There, the poor guy, he didn't even have the time to find his own apartment, and he ends up being collateral damage of that giant tropical storm created by hurrican Curtis.

Yes, I was shocked, and actually sad. Well played show.

And this is new. Not that this is the first body of "blue sky - we're investigating non violent crimes" White Collar. This is still the show who blew up Kate at the end of the first season. (Even NCIS waited season 2 to kill Kate)
But Kate wasn't totally innocent, Adler was definitely guilty - and shot as Neal-defense -, and even Ellen was killed by her own enemies.
But Siegel? Unless they're tricking us again, I feel like there's little doubt that he was killed for getting too close to Hagen. Not his own mess, not his story.
No matter the convoluted way we got there, it's still Neal and Peter's shenanigans that got him killed. I'm not saying it is directly their fault, and they should be arrested, but they'll have to feel responsible.

Even if you forget Hagen for a minute. He is Peter's first recruit, and ends being Peter's first casualty under his direct responsibility as the ASAC of the division...

Ok. Enough angst. Let's shake some lighter squee.
Mozzie's identity crisis was just total LOL

And well, someone else is having some identity crisis... Though his own wardrobe is much nicer... :-)

I gave that stripped shirt a hug !! ;-)

And even though it was cool to be able to promote your own partners,
...nothing beats solving crimes, right?

Also, I particularly enjoyed the Neal-Mozzie banter in that episode.
Hagen is still very much getting on my nerves...
And El looked particularly gorgeous, even when making turtles faces with Peter.

Ah and that stakeout scene.... awww boys, stop beating yourselves up like that. And Neal, how can you have the heart to make Peter sad?! Look how happy he was !
And now he is all sad, and not even arguing, because deep down he knows it's all true, but still it hurts and he doesn't want "not to be partners anymore".
Did you forget the "you're part of that family" line?
Luckily Siegel was killed and Neal needs a new handler... ;-)

I did NOT see Siegel's death coming either!! I had a feeling he'd end up leaving at some point, but this was not what I was expecting, nor so soon! Oh show, you are cruel... but I love you for it - which probably makes me cruel too, at least, to TV characters! Next week, there has to be angst. Lots of lovely, wonderful angst!(Why yes, I'm an angsty bunny, why do you ask?!)

Mozzie's identity crisis made me lol! Oh Mozzie *hugs him and his idiosyncratic ways* I also loved Neal's reference to the secret underground roads!! He's been listening to Moz, even if he doesn't believe him!! *bg*

Poor Peter is struggling to come to terms with his new role. El's trying to guide him, but it must be hard for him - even with all the perks! *hugs Peter*

I want to see Hagan get his comeuppance, but have to admit to enjoying his presence. But then, it's Mark Sheppard. I like him. So, you know, bias.

I know a lot of people love Mark Sheppard, but for some reasons, Hagen annoys me.

And I have to say, even though I'm liking the season so far, I'm also looking forward for once the storm is over and some light episodes.
And I wished they had a real "case of the week" to solve.

I don't want to squash anyone squee but I didn't like the episode at all.. oh series where are you going?!

I did like the beautiful shirts Peter was put in! And lovely El's dress, but Siegel, sorry boy... yeah I didn't expect this either.

It's so weird that this episode, even with the nice theft didn't felt as White Collar at all... Mozzie was the only one keeping appearances...

I didn't see Siegel's death coming. But now that I know that he's out of the picture, I wouldn't have minded a few more episodes with him.. I actually liked seeing him try to work with Neal. But the last two episodes were also hard with Peter and Neal not working together. It just felt weird.

And now Mozzie can burn his toupee collection!

ahah exactly ! Isn't that ironical that last week we just *knew* he had to go, but now that he is gone, we're almost regretting him?

Well, from the beginning i had the feeling that once I'll know how long we have to suffer, I'll be able to deal with it much better.

Now I'm wondering how long it would take for things to go back to normal between Peter and Neal. Knowing White Collar, probably immediately, but I'd love it if they had to deal with what happened here.

And I'm wondering when they'll have a real case to solve, with Neal playing with the FBI and not against them...

Love the turtle faces picture! How do you find these? Can't help feeling bad about Siegel. I don't see Peter forgiving Neal any involvement whatsoever that resulted in the death of a good agent.

lol I made the capture myself, and I happened to catch that. I would have actually prefered a cute face but I'll take what I can. ;-)

Peter will have to forgive Neal one way or another. One way to do that would be for them to work together to catch the actual killer.
I do foresee lots of angst and heartaches. But the alternative was Peter facing a lifetime sentence, and he doesn't want that either.
