I could write a whole paragraph on how strange weather can be - after the coldest spring in history, meet the hottest month of July of the century.... and pin it on Global Warming.... But I'll spare you that and instead will sum it up in 2 pictures.
This is what I desesperately need

...because this is really how I feel!

Date: 2013-07-22 02:33 pm (UTC)It's actually cloudy here today, so my office isn't roasting the way it has been for the past two weeks (lots of cheap, uninsulated windows facing a parking log without trees).
But they said the heat was going to break here this week, but no sign of the humidity going anywhere.
:(

Date: 2013-07-22 02:40 pm (UTC)I woke up this morning and despite keeping windows wide opened all night, it didn't cool down in my apartement... 28°C in the morning, that's no good...
And here at work, I'm sweating while seated on my chair ! (I think it's time for a second trip to the air conditioned experiment room!)

Date: 2013-07-22 02:51 pm (UTC)Yes, we do have air conditioning but it's still miserable. The humidity is terrible right now.

Date: 2013-07-22 03:03 pm (UTC)(I think I'll have to cowboy up and actually do what I was thinking about doing for a week: go to work at the wee hours...)

Date: 2013-07-22 03:21 pm (UTC)It's been too hot for me the last couple of weeks too - it looked like it was going to reduce to 20-22C later this week, but now they've revised that to 24C! Which I guess is still an improvement on 28C - but why do I get a feeling the weather forecast will be revised again, upwards?!
Weather, what are you doing?!!

Date: 2013-07-22 03:26 pm (UTC)I'm actually to a point that I'm more craving for AC than for Peter... Though the ideal would be Peter bringing me the AC... ;-)
I just remembered someone mentioning last week there were some Mr Freezes in a fridge 2 floors down. I went for a raid, and found me some. I feel a little better. :-)

Date: 2013-07-22 04:15 pm (UTC)LOL! Of course, Peter bringing you the AC would be best! But yeah, it must be hot when you'd prefer the AC to him! *hugs again*

Date: 2013-07-22 05:04 pm (UTC)We hit the triple digits here today (aka, 38°C). No A/C at work, but a huge glass front in the office facing south-west. *melts* No A/C at home either, of course.
Us Europeans are poor souls. *feels sorry for us*

Date: 2013-07-22 06:50 pm (UTC)Yeah, it's finally gotten cool here (in Alaska, June is usually the hottest month, and then temperatures moderate in July and August) but we had some miserable, sweltering days back in late June -- mid-90s (so upper 30s for the rest of the world), and most homes are built to trap heat, not to cool off. At one point I started driving down to the library to hang out there, just because they have air conditioning ...

Date: 2013-07-22 06:59 pm (UTC)And I'm really tempted to go see a movie, no matter the movie, just for the AC too.

Date: 2013-07-23 08:40 am (UTC)I did manage to get to work early, and it's already hot in my office... :-(
It's gonna be a long day... So, I'm trying to be efficient enough this morning, not to feel too guilty this afternoon, doing nothing...
