The Tim DeKay Birthday Project - The Report !

Hi all !

Tomorrow is Tim's big birthday, and last week I had the opportunity to give him the book we all made together, full of love and 66 birthday greetings.


Tim was really touched, and he loved it. :-)
He also truly appreciated the donation for the American Diabetes Association (for which we raised $750)
As he went through the book, he said:
"Oh my gosh... This is fantastic ! Each person has a postcard of where they're from? That's fantastic, that's great. I will cherish this always. Holy cow, this is fantastic. What a great idea, thank you so much!"

He gave me a hug, I gave him a kiss... ;-)
I didn't forget you all, and I gave him a hug for all of you who joined the project and couldn't be there.

Many many thanks to everyone who joined the project and to those who made a donation. We made Tim smile, and that's all that matters.

That's a little pin saying "Happy Birthday" that Pamela gave him along with a cupcake from the Greatest Cake bakery. ;-)

Thanks for the update and photos! I'm so glad he liked it so much, and that you got to give it to him in person.

Wish I could have been there to see this! I'll get to meet him one of these years, if I can ever find anyone to go with. (Even though he's a fan of the show, hubby refuses to go to NYC.)

The birthday project was a huge success! Tim was surprised and touched to receive such an outpouring of love from so many people. You not only got one special hug but several of them! :)

Thanks so much for doing this. I loved the pic of you kissing Tim - my first thought was, oh, you're so lucky. My second - wow, you must be fairly tall to reach! I loved the greeting you read. That was beautifully done and so true. I especially liked the comment about how everyone who's met him will attest to his kindness. This was a lovely idea and so well carried out.

Actually, I'm not that tall. I'm 1m68 (no idea in inches sorry, but that's pretty average). I might have stand on tiptoes...
But he was gracious enough to let me do it and find it amusing. ;-)
