Not a zoo, but all the animals of the creation (Well, except dinosaurs, the ark wasn't big enough, everyone knows that): The Animals Went in Two by Two.
I learned this song in fourth grade, as I had my first initiation to English (along with a couple others, including Old Mcdonald had a farm.)
And hmm, hearing that theme in a couple films (in particular Dr. Strangelove and The Great Dictator) I discovered later that it was originally the theme of a war song. But each time I hear that theme, I cannot help but picture "the great hippopotamus stuck in the door"... ;)
And.... That's a wrap!
Thank you all for listening, and
elrhiarhodan for the original idea. That was a fun meme.
I found it rather interesting that a lots of my choices were songs from my childhood (from very young to my teens, mostly). Which makes me wonder how my brain works. I think those songs I grew up with are just more deeply ingrained in my brain, and the word association process created by this meme makes those songs pop first in my head.
And I'm sure you're all very happy to end that meme with The Animals Went Two by Two stuck in your head for the day. You're very welcome. ;)
