White Collar

The character I least understand: I don't always understand Neal, especially certain things he did in the last 2 seasons. I also don't understand James Bennett, how he can make things up with his son - and I think the feelings were genuine - and then through it all away just to escape justice, even though his son begged him.

Interactions I enjoyed the most: Peter & Neal is and will always be the core of the show, but I equally enjoy Peter & Mozzie, and of course Peter/El ♥♥ Though honestly, all the interactions in all combinations are enjoyable in this show, and this is precisely part of why this show is so enjoyable. There's not a single character or interaction that is annoying or boring.

The character who scares me the most: I'd go with Rachel/Rebecca. That moment, the first time around, when you realize who she really is, and what a total psycho she is, makes you shiver.

The character who is most like me: Peter. Except he's more forgiving than I am. But otherwise, I feel like I'd often react like him, and I feel a strong connection over all the moral dilemna he faced. I don't always follow Neal's logic, but I totally get Peter.

Hottest looking character: Peter ♥♥

One thing I dislike about my favorite character: his love for yellow ties. ;)

One thing I like about my hated character: That one is tough. There are a few characters that didn't have that much to redeem themselves - Pratt, James, Keller... But if I actually hated them, then there wasn't much to love about them. Though I usually loved the actors playing them. And they all did great jobs. With special mention for Noah Emmerich, who did such a great job as Fowler. It's not that he had anything to like, but each time I rewatch S1 I just squee remembering how much I love hating him. No villain was as good and enjoyable as Fowler.

A quote or scene that haunts me:
1. The opening scene of Checkmate (3x11), that phone call between Peter and El wrecks my heart everytime.
2. The season 4 finale scene, Peter walking out in handcuffs. That scene truly haunted me. Even though I know everything's going to be fine, it's still hurts everytime.
3. And of course the scene at the morgue in the last episode with Mozzie breaking down and Peter not much better.

A death that left me indifferent: Adler probably. Not that I was particulary sad to see Keller go either. He just had to.

My ship that never sailed: I wish Diana and Christie had gone back together. I kinda also wish Neal/Sara would have had another chance, but at least they left things opened enough that it could still happen post-series.

Oohh Carnivale!

The character I least understand: Brother Justin. And his sister. Not that I ever really understood "Management" either... More generally I didn't have a big interest in the biblical mythology of the show...

Interactions I enjoyed the most: Jonesy and Samson, as well as most interactions within the carnivale group. And to be honest, Jonesy with most people - Rita Sue, Libby, Stumpy...

The character who scares me the most: Brother Justin.

The character who is most like me: Oh wow, I'm not sure anyone is anywhere like me! *scratches head* Libby, maybe. She's sweet and independent, honest, and loyal to Jonesy - but I sure would never become a cooch dancer LOL

Hottest looking character: Jonesy and his big sweaty biceps ♥♥

One thing I dislike about my favorite character: Hmm what do I dislike about Jonesy? His drinking habits I guess. And maybe that one time where he got a little macho with Libby, telling her to stop parading in her underwear - though I felt it was more awkwardness than trying to control her.

One thing I like about my hated character: Hmmm can't think of anything. I just don't like Brother Justin, and he has nothing to redeem himself.

A quote or scene that haunts me: The tar and feather scene. Traumatized me for life. When I was a kid, I loved the Lucky Luke cartoons (French cartoon taking place in the Far West) and the tar and feather scenes were fun. Now I can't see that cartoon anymore. It's an horrible thing to do!!! *hides*

A death that left me indifferent: Management

My ship that never sailed: Do I have a ship that never sailed? I really liked Jonesy/Sofie in the first season, and I was sad that it didn't work out. But then she became too weird, and she wasn't a girl for Jonesy. And as much as I didn't see it coming, Jonesy/Libby made so much sense, and they're perfect for each other. She needs someone that would protect her and won't abuse her. He needs someone that is simple and straightforward. And they'll both be loyal and faithful. They'll bring each other stability. So in the end, no ship that never sailed.

The character I least understand: Might be Samaritan. Not sure what's its end game, and why it would gain from dominating the world...

Interactions I enjoyed the most: Probably John & Harold. I love their fierce loyalty for each other, how grateful John is that Harold gave him a purpose as he says. This big dark former assassin, being to loyal to the guy who gave him a new sense to his life, I find it very touching. And I love how protective Harold is of John. ANd how they both learn from each other.
I also very much enjoy John and Carter, even though I wish they hadn't jumped the shark with that kiss. I saw them more as brother and sister than lovers.
Oh and more recently I totally dig John/Iris, as I mentioned last week. She seems able to read through him, and he was finally letting his guard down just a little. Even though he couldn't tell her everything, he could be honest about his feelings and she accepted him the way he was.

The character who scares me the most: It's a tie between Samaritan and Greer... *shivers*

The character who is most like me: *scratchs head* is there anyone that is anything like me? Maybe Harold, he has his share of mistakes, but he tries to do the right thing, and he doesn't like violence (but he does like John ;) ). Also he doesn't care for rewards and fame, and he's not much of a social person. I'm not as introvert as he is, but I still relate to him when it comes to the difficulties of human interactions.

Hottest looking character: Oh John... ♥♥ Especially when he has so teary puppy eyes... I'm a sucker for hurt John.

One thing I dislike about my favorite character: Well, John is kinda a little bit violent? And, well, a former CIA assassin? As the Machine reminded us last week, he did kill or torture 62 persons...

One thing I like about my hated character: Ugh I can't find anything I like about Greer. He gives me the creeps. But I did like that Control wasn't *that* bad at the end.

A quote or scene that haunts me: The most haunting scene I think is the one where we see (in flashbacks) John watching the wedding video of Jessica and Peter. He breaks my heart...

A death that left me indifferent: Elias and big guy from Brotherhood. Can't say I ever cared for them. Never really liked Elias.

My ship that never sailed: Well... Not giving up hopes on John/Iris. Also, Harold having to let go of Grace was very sad (plus they're so adorable together!)

The character I least understand: There are a couple characters that I don't always understand. I didn't always follow what game Nina was playing. Same for Oleg Burov. Even Stan sometimes can be hard to understand.

Interactions I enjoyed the most: Philip and Elizabeth. Their relationship which is both professional and personal, and thus, complicated, is fascinating.

The character who scares me the most: Probably Gabriel. Not all the time, but sometimes it's unclear if he's going to protect Philip and Elizabeth or through them under the bus.

The character who is most like me: That's tough. I think there's not one character that is really like me, but in turn I feel closer to Elizabeth, and sometime Philip.

Hottest looking character: There's not really anyone that I find really hot in this show, though I guess Elizabeth is pretty sexy.

One thing I dislike about my favorite character: I think my favorite is Philip, but I've always felt a little uncomfortable in the way he played and used Martha, who was just too nice and trusting.

One thing I like about my hated character: Hmmm Do I hate anyone? I think this show is going a good job at not being black and white, but multiple shades of grey. They all honestly believe in the legitimacy of their mission - Russians like Americans - so it's like there's anyone that is truly bad to the point of hating them.

A quote or scene that haunts me: Martha getting on the plane to be deported to Russia... I felt so bad for her. She didn't deserve that.

A death that left me indifferent: I was shocked that they killed Nina, but at the same time, it's not like I had any interest in her storyline anymore. I just wonder why they bothered with the whole prison thing if it was just to have her killed. It seemed like a waste of time to me.

My ship that never sailed: I feel like all the possible ships have sailed, even if most wrecked in the end.

The character I least understand: Gracie. Why on Earth would that little idiot run away like that?!

Interactions I enjoyed the most: Jimmy and Duval, hands down! Boy I'm going to miss them so much!

The character who scares me the most: Probably Otto. He's not the worst character, but he's definitely unpredictable.

The character who is most like me: I didn't feel really close to any character, though I'd say Duval, rational, no-nonsense kind of guy.

Hottest looking character: Duval of course ♥♥ (Though Jimmy was also rather easy on the eyes)

One thing I dislike about my favorite character: I didn't like that he pushed Jimmy away at the end. I can understand the rationalisation, but I wish he would have been a little nicer to Jimmy.

One thing I like about my hated character: Well, Connor is smart and played his cards well, I give him that...

A quote or scene that haunts me: The opening of episode 4 when Duval discovers Jimmy is his father. All the emotions on his face ♥♥

A death that left me indifferent: Well, Connor...

My ship that never sailed: Duval and Mary. I would have liked that. I like Jimmy and Mary, but I could also go with Jimmy and Alexa.

The character I least understand: LOL hmmm.... Sheldon ?

Interactions I enjoyed the most: The original four, Leonard, Sheldon, Howard and Raj.

The character who scares me the most: Amy LOL

The character who is most like me: Leonard probably. A rather "normal" nerd. Also doing experimental science. He's doing Physics I'm doing Chemistry. ;)

Hottest looking character: I guess that would be Penny. Can't say there's any guy particularly hot in the show LOL

One thing I dislike about my favorite character: You know what, I don't know who's my favorite. Sheldon is probably the funniest, so he's probably my favorite to watch, though he can be a real asshole.

One thing I like about my hated character: Hate is a strong word, but I don't really like Amy. Though I do like her romantic side.

A quote or scene that haunts me: not sure this can apply to TBBT...

A death that left me indifferent: Same as above. I think only Mrs Wolowitz died, and it didn't leave me indifferent. It was kinda weird to have this sad moment in the middle of a comedy, though they did do a good job with it.

My ship that never sailed: Can't think of any. I'm fine with all the ships of the show (though I actually liked it better when it was about single guys than couples)

The character I least understand: It's a tie between Taub and Thirteen. Taub because he can't keep it in his pants but can't have the courage to leave his wife. Thirteen, well, she's quite a mess all around. Amber was quite a mystery too. How on Earth did she end up with Wilson?...
Now, actually, the one thing that I don't understand is Kutner comitting suicide. He was the only one that was actually positive and happy.

Interactions I enjoyed the most: House and Wilson for the world!! ♥♥ Though I did love House and Cuddy in the early seasons.

The character who scares me the most: Was it Vogler? The big guy from S1/S2 who had a personal grudge with House.

The character who is most like me: Well, Kutner, until he commited suicide. He seemed to find the fun and positive in everything.

Hottest looking character: oh hmmm.... Might go with Chase, especially when he had short hair. Though I also can't deny Thirteen was hot.

One thing I dislike about my favorite character: My favorite is Wilson. He accepted way too much crap with House. He was right to leave in S5. And even though I didn't really want to see him go, I still think he should have moved on. (And I might just have quit right there, which would have spared me from the awful S6 and 7...)

One thing I like about my hated character: Did I hate anyone ? I did hate House every once in a while - mostly when he was being an ass with Cuddy or Wilson. But I did get a lot of laughs over all his snarky comments toward patients, or the crazy bets with Wilson.

A quote or scene that haunts me: The double S4 episode. House's Head, Wilson's Heart. Best episodes ever. And so heartbreaking *snif*

A death that left me indifferent: House's dad probably.

My ship that never sailed: House and Cuddy... It's a shame it ended so badly and it made for some horrible episodes... Oh oh no, I know! Wilson and Sasha Alexander! That was such a great episode. :D

Thirteen was one of my faves XD Liked her so much better than Cameron. So was Amber.

Okay, that is seriously true. Kutner's suicide came out of nowhere.

God, that cop was terrifying. Wait, are you talking about the cop or the businessman?

THOSE S4 EPS WERE TORTURE. DEAR ------- GOD. So good, but so painful.

Date: 2016-05-18 03:19 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] aragarna.livejournal.com
Oh you're right, I was mixing the two - the cop and the businessman. The cop was actually more scary.

re: Kutner, they had to free the actor who got a job at the White House. They probably thought it would be "cool" to have something that House wouldn't see coming (and I can see the logic in that), but that kind of denied Kutner's character, and they never ever hinted at it before...

Those episodes were heartbreaking, but still so brilliant. Especially House's Head.

Agreed. Cop was terrifying. But also, he did an excellent job of pointing out the many, many scary and even downright illegal things that house does on a regular basis.

True.

OMG YES.

Hottest looking character: oh hmmm.... Might go with Chase, especially when he had short hair.

LOL, this is funny, because for me it's the exact opposite way. Long-haired Chase... kind of cute. Short-haired... well, okay, if you have to, but far from what I'd describe as "hot" or anything like that :D
