Is it just me, the camera(wo)man being in love with Tim, or is it Tim looking terrible handsome all the time on that show? Like, really, each time he appears on screen I get a shot of endorphines.

But OMG ALEXA, what are you doing?! I feel so totally betrayed! I liked your innocent goofiness! Connor, he looked fishy the minute he appeared on screen - though it does appear Mary is using him as a toy boy so it's not like she didn't have that one coming... - but Alexa, I didn't see that coming...

Lots of great scenes in that episodes - all of them unrelated to the creepy case. I keep getting the feeling the show would be a lot better without the cases - or with more interesting cases. The human aspect of the show is pretty good, but the procedural side remains pretty generic (and too creepy for my own taste). So let's forget about the creepy horny dudes and yet another psycho plastic surgeon and focus on the cooler stuff:

It's not always clear who's the dad, who's the son...

So it seems that despite last week's finale scene between father and son, Duval is still not convinced that it's a good thing his father is back. Not that Jimmy makes it easy, showing off how he intimidates witnesses or with what he likely did to the bad guys at the end. And in that sense, I can understand Duval's reluctance to tell Helen and Gracie who Jimmy really is. Though I have a feeling it will come back to bite him when the truth will come out.

Jimmy is trying though. That scene about the clogged sink and how Duval sent a toy on a rescue mission down the drain was adorable. So was Duval fixing the sink all the while interrogating the girl. :)

Someone called for a plumber?

Funny, I happen to have a clogged sink that could use a handsome plumber in a suit...

Now, what is it with Tim fixing sinks? Given that they often give Tim's characters his own background, are we to assume Tim has a passion for fixing sinks? ;)

FBI Agent by day, super-plumber by night.

But back to Jimmy. I do feel for him. He was brought back without his consent, had no particular purpose, so now he's struggling finding a way to make himself useful. And he finds himself in everyone's way. His comment at the end about Duval telling him to go home was particularly interesting. What's home for Jimmy? He doesn't feel welcome neither with his own family, nor with the Goodwins.

And we're starting to see Otto's darker edge. I'm enjoying this character more and more with each episode. A lot more than Mary that I find a little bland. But that drift between Otto and Mary couldn't happen at a worse time, with Connor plotting something on the side...

Always awkward when mom and dad are fighting...

You gotta love Otto's directness. "I'm incapable of joking." "Mary is having sex in an hotel with Connor." LOL Though in term of snarky comments, no one beats Duval. "Why don't you act your age?" Heh

Alexa, WHY!? This made me so sad. Also, I didn't understand her relationship with the older man she went home to. It made me wonder if that was her father, or if he was her husband, and if she was some kind of experiment gone wrong (or maybe right, but not right for what Mary needed?) that occurred prior to Jimmy. That would be an interesting twist, but her fangirling of Mary and very light-hearted nature was refreshing in a way. Especially with Otto's darker side coming out (which, btw, as you said, is quite enjoyable), I almost wish that Alexa wasn't tainted as well.

Tons of great Tim shots in this episode! I was hoping you would post that shot that you caught at the end of Tim. He's so handsome, and the beautiful Washington state setting of this show really brings out his rugged side. I love it. ;)

I was also thinking the same thing about Jimmy's comment at the end. It was becoming clearer that Otto thinks of him as an object, a tool created to save Mary and not the human being that he is. That combined with Duval's hesitancy toward welcoming him back into the family is difficult, I'm sure.

At any rate, another great episode, even if the creep factor was more than I would have liked. :D The ratings for the show haven't been too bad so far, and now that I'm deep into its trenches, I really really hope we get a renewal. Go Tim, go!!

Heh you just made me pause for a minute here. Because of the age difference, I totally assumed that man living with Alexa was her father. But hey, we're watching a show where the father looks younger than his son!
That would actually be an interesting twist if that man was the consequence of previous experiment, with Alexa looking for payback or something.
My initial feeling was that he was her father, likely dying of something and she'd be hoping to use Otto's magic tank to cure him.

Tim is looking so good in that show. Either it's the air of Vancouver or the camera person who is in love with him. Or maybe both. Also, I just love all his little faces. He can tell so much in one single shot. That last scene was a great example of that. You could just read all the conflicted feelings.

Love the captions!! Good episode, if a bit creepy in places - though yeah, Alexa was a surprise! I wonder what's going on there? Hope we find out soon.

Thanks!
Yes lots of questions regarding Alexa. And also Jimmy and the mice. Rob's face when he looked at them cracked me up...
