Let's Shake some Squee - Second Chance episode 3 - From Darkness, the Sun

So, of course, my friends offered to have dinner last night. Made it home at... 8:50*  sigh I did have a great night with friends, though. And I did catch live the best part of the episode (And caught up the rest of it less than 2 hours later, so not so bad).

*(Central time here. I'm the 8c in the 9/8c, which means I actually like better when shows are late)

But the good thing about the move to Friday is that then I have all Saturday to rewatch, rewind, pause, cap, recap... And boy what an episode this one was.



I am so loving the banter on this show. So many great lines I can't quote them all.

"You should try Badge Bunnies, they like guys with guns" (note to self: should try this one out, you might find your own FBI agent...)
"Who puts seeds in mustard?!"
"FBI, no FBI" (that should be Tim's own motto)
"Dad gives me all the good stuff from the evidence locker."

I'm loving more and more the Duval/Jimmy relationship. The emotional charge took another dimension this episode (and I'm already so impatient to see the confrontation between Jimmy and Duval next week!). And of course, Tim is knocking it out of the park. He's mastering all the looks

Whether it's the "I'm not buying your BS" look

The intense dom "Tell me where you were last night?" look

The "I'm casually rocking the suit" look

"and the old tshirt, too".

And even the slide shoes! Or... maybe not.

But most importantly... All the emotions and feelings and... Just look at that face. ♥♥♥

Okay that was a lot of pictures... What can I say? I love this guy. And no matter what happens to the show, at least it will have been a great opportunity for Tim to expose his talent.

Apart from Duval and Jimmy, I think my other favorite character is Alexa. Not sure to understand her totally yet, but LOL Loved the scene with Mary where Alexa thinks she's dating Jimmy, and then gets all excited that Jimmy is a "donor"...

I was glad that Mary was setting boundaries with Jimmy even if it seems not totally in phase with what Otto was analysing before. But with the whole "75 years old in a 35 years old body" thing, it has to make relationships a little complicated. Jimmy is still an old man in his head.

Next Friday sure won't come soon enough!

I really enjoyed last night's ep. I loved how concerned Duval was when Jimmy got shot. I like how Gracie (Duval's daughter?) reaction to Jimmy's hangover. :)

Yes it was a great episode! It was nice to see Duval and Jimmy get closer, and Duval concerned for Jimmy, before the big reveal that is going to change everything...

I really like Gracie too. I hope we'll see more of her in the future.

Yes, it's definitely a great character for Tim. And Tim is also the best thing in this show. ;)

I really enjoyed this episode! Love the angst at the end, both from Duke about his son, Jimmy and his regrets, and then Duval at the end! *so much angst* *happy angst bunny* :D

I was really surprised that the show got to the big reveal so quickly! But in a good way, since (like I was saying over at my journal) I didn't want it to be dragged out too long, so I'm glad it wasn't. Also, Duval made me think even more of Peter in this episode; some of the way he relates to Jimmy is totally Peter getting exasperated by Neal. :D

They mentioned it during some interview, so I knew it was coming. I do think it's a smart move, because it'll make things more interesting between Jimmy and Duval. And the suspicions/doubts from Gracie and Duval would have become old quite quickly.

Yes, it looks like Tim can't get his partners to listen to him. Love the "FBI, not FBI" bit, and also when he told Jimmy "stay put". Nope, not a chance... ;)

Only one more day until the next episode! I really can't wait!

OMG finally caught up on this episode.. about to watch the next one too but had to just squee a little bit and enjoy this one first.. TOTALLY agree with you - Tim is knocking this out of the park... All the little things he adds from facial expressions to hand gestures to Duval's character make me just love Duval so so so much. All the emotion in this ep! Ahh!

Okay, on to this week's episode! :)
