Second Chance is moving to Friday nights at 9/8c, to be paired with Sleepy Hollow. Source: TVLine It does annoy me cause Friday is the one night where I usually go out with friends, but it beats direct cancellation, does it?
Such a quick change in the schedule is definitely because of the ratings. I'm guessing that they have less expectations for Friday nights so it won't matter that much if it doesn't do very well. Also, it does make more sense to be teamed up with Sleepy Hollow. But given that this one is struggling too, it doesn't bode well for renewal for either of them.
And on Friday nights, Second Chance will appear against Hawaii 50 and I'm not sure if it'll manage to steal many viewers...
This makes me sad. FOX has been the death sentence for so many of my favorite shows, or shows that I thought had great promise for the future. I really hope this doesn't mean anything, but I agree it isn't the best sign. :(
Yes, I've heard Fox has a rather bad reputation for giving shows a chance. Last year, I was just starting to really dig Almost Human, just in time to learn it was cancelled...
Oh my goodness, ME TOO. I was so sad. That show was so unique, and it had a pretty solid fandom to boot. I'm also a huge Karl Urban fan, though, so I may have been a little biased. :)
It took me a little while to warm up to it, but when they started developing things, like I really liked the glimpse at the "enhanced" children, and that mysterious world behind the wall... And then all of a sudden, no new episode and... what? cancelled?! I don't know if they took it off the air prematurely or if they just hadn't planned a cliffhanger, but I hadn't even realized it was the end of the season!
Well, I guess the good thing is that Friday puts a lot less pressure on it... So if there are not too many people scared away by the bad omen of the date change and if it holds up, it might survive.
Oh my goodness, I do hope this show continues. It must be very frustrating for everyone involved in it to have to go through this uncertainty. I was really enjoying Forever, it was original and entertaining and then, "Poof!" it was over.
On a side note, just sat down to enjoy episode 2. Got my coffee, cat's fed, daughter still asleep so I can watch uninterrupted and ..... is that TDK doing the "Viewer discretion is adviiiiiised" in a super sexy voice? I almost spilt my java! I HAVE to have that as a ring tone!
I'll have to pay attention, I didn't notice it was Tim's voice. I did notice it was NOT Tim doing the "previously on" which is a shame, cause he has the best voice for it. ;)
But yeah, Fox has a rather bad record with new shows... At least it's an 11 episode run so they will probably let it run until the end of the season. Especially since all the episodes have been shot.
