I think Limitless is becoming my favorite new show. I wasn't completely convinced at first. The premise looked at the same time promising and silly. The movie was interesting but was it gripping enough to be developed in a TV show? Not sure. But I still gave it a try and you know, it doesn't really matter how silly the premise is, because this show is fun. It took it a couple episodes to find the right tone, but I think it has found its voice - one that is resolutely different from the movie.

Brian, the main character, is a pain in the ass with a big heart, and I'm actually finding him cuter and cuter as the season goes...
For anyone looking for a blue skies kind of show, you should definitely give this one a try.

Oh and Castle is still so much fun! I think I want a Ryan & Espo spinoff.

Thanks for the tip ...I watched "The last Panthers"premiere and ...I'm not going to watch any other ep I thought it would be a bit elegant and intriguing instead there were a dark atmosphere all the colour during the ep were black or grey and the criminals that stolen the diamonds use violence and guns and no back up plan they killed a poor little girl by mistake ....stupid!! so ... no crossover with White Collar ....2 completely different world ..and show

Oh I've watched Panthers. I meant to post about it, but then I forgot.
Don't bother with it. It's probably a lot more accurate about the Pink Panthers (they are not smart criminals, they're just a bunch of violent thugs), but it's not even very interesting. And it's not even really about the Panthers.
I like Tahar Rahim (the French cop), but even him was boring.

I might have to check this one out, if I can still find the eps online. Never seen the movie, does that matter?

I wouldn't think. The movie is pretty simple. There's this secret and awesome drug that enhances your brain and make you super smart. But it has a downside as it has rather deadly side effets.
Bradley Cooper is offered to try it by a friend, which gets him into lots of troubles. At the end, he manages to get out of it (alive!) and gets into politics.

It's kinda revealed bits by bits in the show as Brian finds the drug by accident and originally has no clue what he got himself into... Originally it seemed to be more in continuation of the film - and it still has potential to go back to it - but I feel like they're having a lot more fun just having fun.

I'm watching it on TV, so since I don't download it, ironically I'm not sure how many eps I've seen...

Thanks! I might have to wait for it to jump the Atlantic now, but that's okay as I've got a lot of shows on the go atm. Sounds like good fun though, so definitely on my 'to catch up with' list! :)

And I still didn't warm enough to Limitless is still on my list, but it's a filler show.

Good, you have a lot of fun with it!

I think it's getting better with time. The last few episodes have really been a lot of fun. Forget about Bradley, forget about the side effects of NZT, let's catch the bad guys! and drive the boss crazy!
They might go back to more serious episodes later but we'll see.

You could argue that it's lacking credibility, or it's too light, but I'm handwaving it all because I'm really enjoying it.

I'm okay with light and no credibility, but I really don't like that actress...

Hmmm, maybe I'll try it when I have the time... Thanks for the tip :)

And I'm so with you on the Ryan-Espo spinoff :D I think this last ep has been the best of S8 so far - it was fun, and for once it didn't feel like the characters were stupid or OOC (apart for, you know, Beckett's mysterious reasoning re:Locksat). One thing I did realize, I'm really not sure that it was a good idea to promote Beckett to Captain. I get that they want some character development, but when I think back to this season, the moments that worked the best for me were when she was in the field (preferably with Castle) and there has been preciously little of that...

OTOH, I quite like Hailey as an addition - that's one thing I feared about S8, but so far I like how they've been handling her.

We'll see how it goes. At this point I'm rather low on expectations, so I'm hoping for a pleasant surprise sooner or later :D

Good point about Beckett being Captain. Maybe they don't know how to handle this. Especially since it's coming on top of Castle now being his own investigator, with a growing team (Alexis and now Hailey). It's like we don't need Beckett anymore.

Though they're also creating too many problems and changes. Beckett is captain, Beckett doesn't want to work - nor live - with Castle. He's not allowed to work with the NYPD anymore...
When Peter was made ASAC, it didn't change much. I'm sure no one would have thought twice if she had continued to go on the field like before...

I'm not totally sold on Hailey, I feel like she was not necessary, but I can live with her.

Oh and when they started mentioning divorce my first thought was "oh no, they're not going to do it like Sheeni!" LOL

You're right about the changes - it's like they messed up roo much of the show's foundations at once, and now they're struggling to keep it going.

I was so mad when the divorce was mentioned in the promo! Luckily the episode turned out well...

I tried watching this season of Castle, but I just do not like the changes. It just doesn't work for me when a show has been on for several years with no major changes only to have major changes late in the series.

I have mixed feelings about this season. I still think the "fun" episodes are really good (especially with Ryan and Espo) and that's always been where the show was at its best.
But I really don't like the Beckett storylines. It's getting old. Both the new conspiracy that was linked to Bracken (even dead he's still annoying!) and her never ending doubts and selfishness.

Apart from the first two episodes, the fun still overweights the meh, at least for me, so I'm still watching. But maybe they should start thinking about pulling the plug...
