If there was only one sequence you should watch, it's this one, at the same time adorable and heartbreaking.

video deleted, unfortunately, for copyright from the original channel.

4 days later, everyone is balancing between sorrow and the need to laugh. John Oliver was trending on Twitter France yesterday all day, and many similar chronicles from French comedians were shared all over the social media.

And something quite remarkable is happening. Nothing like people attacking us for who we are and for our values, to make us remember to be proud of ourselves again. I hadn't seen so many French flags since the 1998 World Cup (We're not a very patriotic people...). The Marseillaise - which in other times was critizised in our own country for being a violent war anthem - is being proudly sang again (and suddenly, for the first time in my lifetime, feels painfully accurate).
As soon as Saturday, people were braving the emergency state because the need to gather was too strong. People went back to the terraces. It's not that we're not scared, but we won't let them win.If they're attacking our very own way of life, then our way of life will be our resistance.

Heartbreaking and a fascinating testament to the human spirit in one little boy trying with daddy's help to process the unfathomable.

Many French kids lost a little bit of their innocence last Friday...

Oh! My heart!

Being a nanny living 30 miles out of NYC when 9/11 happened, I will never forget what it did to the children.

***hugs***

I can only imagine. I was "lucky" enough that I was already 16 when 9/11 happened. Those images must have been quite scary for children.

I saw it online, it's very cute. Though it doesn't hurt that we also have guns.

ah that's a shame they claimed copyright for this video, when it was being so widely spread everywhere.
Glad you managed to see it! It was very moving indeed.

Oh I didn't know it even reached the evening news! That's incredible.

It's funny, Anderson Cooper was tonight invited on the show that made that report. We're exchanging our reports. ;)
