Juliette Greco (old French singer, born in 1927)  just reported that one of her paintings in one of her residences near Paris had been stolen and replaced by a forgery. The painting was an original Gainsbourg (another French singer who died in 1991) and reportedly his last painting.

LOL - Peter is going to be angry.

I'm sure Mozzie planned the heist. :D

Peter is going to drag his ass back to New York. ;)

Oh and another Caffreyism: a couple days ago, two guys escaped from a French prison, by sawing the bars and digging a tunnel. Well, maybe a little too old fashion for Neal, but that still made me smile.

if she found that the painting is a forgery ..it's not Neal's work !!
There are still Neal's paintings hung in a lot of Museums and none found anything about ....

How did she find out it's a forgery?

No idea. Report didn't say. I'm assuming it wasn't a perfect forgery and she figured it out. She had that painting for like 25 years.
