A little bit more than a year ago - can't really remember when - I discovered White Collar. I fell in love with that show. And with Tim DeKay. Not that Matt Bomer isn't perfectly fine, but there is something about Tim DeKay... You know what I mean.
And 16 times 45 minutes of Tim DeKay a year is hardly enough. So, during season hiatus, I had to get my Tim DeKay dose. That's how I discovered everything else he did before becoming Peter Burke. Well, almost everything else. But the good thing about being so late in discovering someone or something, is that you can catch up as fast as you need.
For instance, it took me 4, maybe 5 days, to go through the whole Carnivàle series.
Lately, I've been trying to put together a few of Tim Dekay's performances. You may have seen it all already, but you may not. So , take a look !
I just want to tell the world what an outstanding actor Tim is, and give his fans the opportunity to watch all of his parts in TV series or movies.
Because unrelated plots are boring, I edit the episodes and put together Tim's parts only.
This is, on my own website, Tim DeKay TV.
There's not everything yet. I'm still updating it regularly.
As for now, there are 15 guest appearances on various TV shows.
And today, I've added 2 videos about Carnivàle.
Carnivàle is a weird series. Not exactly my favorite type of series, to be honest. I'm not really into biblical surnatural and Good vs. Evil stuff. But the series is very well written. And there are the Carnies. The people of the Carnivàle. A little world into itself, with its own code, its own myths, its own society. This aspect, to me, was the most interesting.
And among those people, comes Jonesy.
Jonesy is a great character, and Tim DeKay gives a wonderful performance. Jonesy is a fallen angel, a former baseball player who now is the the leader of the roustabouts.
There are a lot of characters and sub-plots in the series. Some more likeable than others. And some that will haunt you for a long time. But among them all, Jonesy has something special. Probably a combination of the character's story, and Tim DeKay's talent to put so much humanity in his characters, Jonesy, the supporting role, becomes the one you're rooting for.
To me, there was one crucial scene where Tim DeKay literally stole the show. This was around the end of the eighth episode of season one. A lot has happened already, and glimpes of his story has been unveiled at the time. Jonesy goes to see Rita Sue, the cootch dancer.
This is the last scene of this video.
This is when Tim DeKay made me cry.
