Day 15 - The first movie you saw in the theater.

It was Bambi. I have no memory of it, but apparently, when Bambi's mother was killed I got agitated, asking where Bambi's mom was. (Totally denial tactics...). The first movie I do remember going to see (if rather vaguely) is Snow White.
Just to be clear, they were re-releases, back when Disney movies were still coming out few and far in between.

You should totally watch Bambi again! In fact, I really need to do so myself, see if I still find the animation techniques as interesting as I used to!

Better make sure there's a box of tissues handy, Bambi's mum dying still gets me even now.

Oh actually I saw it again later, so I do remember Bambi. I just don't remember going to see it in the theater.

Disney movies are the worst regarding boxes of tissues. The death of the ape mother in Tarzan... Mulan... The Lion King, of course. But I think the one that got me the worst was Finding Nemo (Wait - technically it might not be a "Disney"). 5 minutes into the movie and I was crying my eyes out...

I'd have to ask my parents (and they probably don't remember either) what my first movie I saw at the theater was. But the earliest one I have only a vague memory of was going to see Star Wars Return of The Jedi. I had probably just turned 8 at the time.

I never saw Bambi. My mom probably thought it would be too upsetting to watch.

You should see Bambi. It's no more upsetting than The Lion King or half of the children tales...
