Day 3 - You're favorite action/adventure movie.

I generally don't like much action movies. Though I can go with adventure. I think it has to be Pirates of the Caribbean - the first one only!

Probably one of the best unexpected surprise I had. Back in high school, me and my friends went to the "spring of cinema" where you basically binge watch movies in the theaters for 3 days for a very small price. So we managed to see like 8 movies over 3 days. And for every single movie, they were showing the trailer for PDC, to be released later that summer. Sometimes even twice. That movie seemed highly WTF, but after 3 days we knew the trailer by heart. "Saw good bye." "good bye". (well, actually it was in French and because of that intense repeat, we discovered later that they dub trailers separately from the movies...). After that intense brainwashing we decided we really had to see that probably terrible movie based on a Disneyland attraction?! Seriously?
Well, we were wrong. Let's face it, that movie is epic, and the casting was just perfect.

"They've taken Elizabeth!"
(I promise one day I'll make that WC/PotC trailer mash-up)

Yeah, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the first movie!! I did also enjoy the next two, but I think the first one is the best.

The next two were okay, and were indeed entertaining enough, but still not as good as the first one. Maybe because the first one was such a delightful surprise and set the bar quite high for that kind of films.

I was highly surprised by it too. I think I had seen the trailer or more likely a short commercial once. Knew about the dog scene which I knew from the ride. That was about it. I think my sister must have seen more or else she just wanted to see Orlando Bloom, so we had to go see it on the first day. Wow, were we surprised! I think just laughing so hard when Jack came in on the sinking boat, we knew we were in for a good movie.

I can't say the next one was great, but it was okay. The 3rd one was just confusing, and long. If there was a 4th one, I haven't even seen it.

LOL yes there's a fourth one. With no Will and no Elizabeth, but with Penelope Cruz. Forgettable.
