The 10 day meme - Day Three

1 - Tourists in the subway. They don't know where they're going and they're *always* in your way.

2 - Deterioration of orthography on the internet.

3 - People who confuse Your/You're or Their/There/They're. Dude, I learned that in second year of English class.

4 - The fact that taxes and tips aren't included in the prices in the US.

5 - The remakes/sequels/prequels/spin-offs of movies and TV shows. (and I'm perfectly aware that some of my favorite movies are remakes and that the TV show Fargo was awesome. But Dawn of the Rise of the Before of the Planet of the Apes and the series 12 Monkeys suck, so my point still holds).

6 - USA Network.

7 - Geographic restrictions for DVDs or online shows.

8 - Commercials, four times an hour. I've stopped watching US shows on TV, it's too much.


And for paganlowroader, the White Collar/fannish edition. WARNING: it might annoy some people. But it's just for fun! :)

1 - The "Neal's such a beautiful angel, he can't do no wrong" biais of the White Collar fandom.

2 - People who keep ranting about Season 3. It's my favorite, okay?

3 - People who keep ranting about Season 5. It's the best and it's the only story arc that holds rewatches. And it was brave, and they did it right.

4 - That Neal would think it's okay to let his two best friends (and also all the other people he made his family) think he's dead. For a year. Let them get over their mourning, and only then say "hey it was all a joke, guys, I had the time of my life in Paris! Come and get me." It's HORRIBLE, Neal. That's not how you treat family. You still have so much to learn buddy... (yeah, I still have feelings...)

5 - All the crazy Bomerettes that post embarrassing comments on Twitter.

6 - People who keep asking for a White Collar movie and spam the cast and crew. IT'S OVER, GET OVER IT.

7 - People who posts dozens of pics a day on Instagram.

8 - Credit thieves on Twitter and Instagram who add their account name in the middle of a picture/art that is not theirs to start with.

Hubby and I found the tax thing difficult to deal with when we visited New York years ago, it made things more complicated than we thought they needed to be! But I suppose in the US, where state taxes vary, it's good to know what the base price is so you know that you're not being charged over the top, whereas in the UK the tax is the same for the whole country and so knowing the base price isn't so important. Maybe? *shrugs*

#7 (DVDs) - definitely! This is sooooo redundant now!

#1 in the WC section gets me too and I'm a Neal fan! He is NOT perfect and he can certainly do wrong, that's part of the appeal for me!! As for the Bomerettes, so glad I'm not one. I like Neal, but I don't follow Matt or feel the need to watch other things he's been in just because he's in them.

I know it's a problem of state taxes, but still, that makes things unnecessary complicated.

For a record, I do make the difference between the normal, mature, Matt Bomer fans, and the crazy bomerettes. ;-)
A Matt Bomer fans likes him for his work and his personality, on top of his good looks.
A Bomerette just likes him because he's hot. They occasionally watch his films or shows, mainly because he's really hot in them, but that's not mandatory to know anything he's done. What matters is that he's hot and if they're lucky he'll wish them a happy birthday on Twitter... ;)
