It seems that with only 6 episodes, the writers have put particular care into writing well-crafted episodes, and packing as many cookies in each box as possible.
But for some reason, I'm tensed because I expect something to happen, and it's not happening. All good in the 'hood... So why am I so nervous?!
Oh Mozzie... You better not let Peter know you secret doula plans, because he'll never let you less than 50 feet from El!
LOL at Diana for the eye-less doll staring at her, and bringing El all the scary read.
I'm really happy with the way they're handling the pregnancy so far. No unecessary drama, mostly joy and fluff. Still, El expressing her fears about her workaholic husband. But I agree with Diana, Peter will be dedicated to fatherhood as he's dedicated to anything he does. And as long as Peter and El are willing to keep being late to dinner, nothing to worry about. ;-) In short, Peter and El being very much Peter and El. *smooches them*
On to the con. Well, I guess it's a luck the Panthers are away for business, because that was all a little messy and noisy, wasn't it?
I can see how, if Neal could drop the grudge, he and Keller could make an awesome team. Because Keller is a bit rough, but he's good. I'm actually surprised they didn't pull that one before (on how to get the girl to fall for Neal) because as they were doing it, I felt like it was the perfect and obvious plan. Though the tension between them makes it all even more enjoyable.
Though, I don't want to sound like a bad omen for Keller, but when have his plans to con Neal ever worked for him in the end? The best he got was taking credit for a treasure he never actually owned, so that he could rot in a Russian prison...
Neal seems to continue to grow up as he realizes cons make innocent victims. And it had been a while since he had admitted enjoying the FBI side more than the dark side...
I have to say, it was fun to see him try to stall the girl who obviously didn't come for the sole meunière. "the fish can wait" ah!
That still was a deserved slap. But let's see it that way, Neal. It's still less painful to learn she's a MI6 operative gone rogue...
Amy was a lot less passive and naive that she first looked. Neal didn't expect to get his lecture from her...
But hum, Neal, I'm willing to take some more cooking classes. I could really use a sexy chef to teach me...
June!
I don't know about pulling the Bono-glasses look, but I sure would have liked to see Peter in that bordeaux polo and leather jacket...
I'm not really impressed by that Interpol operative. That's my only complain about the episode. I don't know if it's an act or what, but he's no match for Peter's charisma. And Peter is chewing him alive (maybe a tad too much? But you gotta love protective/possessive Peter. My mission, my CI, my Mozzie...)
And Luc was way over the line. Well, I guess it just illustrated perfectly why I love caring and good Peter so much.
But really, don't "can you handle your CI?" Peter if it's to double-cross him and ask Keller to grab his gun! (And apparently even Keller disapproved and only brought a knife...)
And Interpol doesn't know him? That guy has trouble written all over. Danger will come from him, I'm telling you.
Still, you gotta love when someone is getting into that strange team. With Mozzie, as the unexpected surprise of the Burke-Caffrey package, and a very peculiar one LOL.
Loved Peter's side looks at Luc when Mozzie was ... being Mozzie.
And technology from the 70's is always a win! Ahahah.
Loved the "lightsaber to a knife fight" though it wasn't a very accurate analogy. You can still slice your opponents with a lightsaber. :-P
Icing on the cake of the "love letter to the fans" a particularly hot Neal in those open collar shirts, and particularly hot Peter in that black polo.
That last speech from Keller. I don't know if I just don't like it because I don't want it, or if I just don't believe it because I think Keller is just messing with Neal's head...
So... a bit of speculations. Based on nothing but what we've seen so far, and the show's known tendency to drama.
They're going to take the Panthers down. But Neal and Peter won't take the credit for it. Keller will take the fall. Either they'll pin it on him to get rid of him and the Panthers at the same time, or in one late urge to do good, Keller will do it for Neal (yeah, no, I'm not buying it that one much either).
What will that mean for Neal? I don't know. I still hope he'll get his freedom and a chance to start over.
I still don't believe the show will end on a depressing note, so whatever happens, it'll be solved by the end of the finale.

Date: 2014-11-21 09:14 pm (UTC)Luc is clearly more interested in catching the Panthers than in doing so within the law. I'm guessing it's something personal, and also, that he's not really Interpol or else ex-Interpol who left under a cloud. I'm sure he'll get his comeuppance before the end of the show.
Very much hoping that when the Panthers are caught, they don't know it was Neal. I'm going with your theory that Keller gets blamed for it. Either way, I'm hoping for a good ending not a depressing one - after all, this is White Collar. Surely they won't do that to their fans?
*is now imagining Peter's face when he hears Mozzie wants to be El's doula* :D :D :D

Date: 2014-11-21 09:47 pm (UTC)Either way, I agree about the underlying tension, even though I really loved the episode (and the previous two). I still expect things to go pear-shaped somehow... though with only three episodes left, there isn't much time for that and for having things resolved.
Still, I'm really looking forward to see how this develops.

Date: 2014-11-22 02:23 am (UTC)I love that part and that Mozzie didn't say negative about his comments. : ) It is nice to see that Neal may have learned some important lessons from working with Peter.
Keller is a nasty piece of work & part of that speech was him messing with Neal's head (he can't help himself) but he was also telling the truth when he said that taking down the PP could come with some bad consequences. I really don't think Neal had considered that this could end badly. I just hope when it all goes down that Keller gets what he deserves.

Date: 2014-11-23 10:25 am (UTC)Oh so true. Neal should actually watch out from those innocent looking girls.
And Interpol doesn't know him?
I think Interpol was claiming not to know him. Though it was pretty open as to whether they did or not.
Keller did put a damper on things in the end. If Neal doesn't take down the Panthers, he won't get his freedom. And if he does, he'll be in worse trouble. It's a lose-lose situation.
