This is terrible, how happy that show makes me. Watching a new episode. Watching the boys and the girls, on my screen. All of them. I love them so much. And I love that show so much.
I think it's just downing on me, how painful it's gonna be. I had sworn to myself not to whine about the end. I'm not ready, none of us are, but I don't want to ruin the squee by constantly reminding myself that it is the end, and I certainly don't want to waste my time in cries all over my journal.
I'm happy that White Collar is back and I'm enjoying it to bits.
I've always loved that special glee I get at each premiere (season premieres and winter premieres too), every single premiere since my first hiatus (that was the S3 premiere). The feeling of reuniting with old friends after too long. It doesn't even matter how angsty it can be (and some of them were), I feel happy, at home, and that makes me smile. That's just a wonderful feeling.
That was the last time.

I love other shows, and I'm excited each year to reunite with them too, but not in the same way. The other shows are just TV shows. White Collar is White Collar.

I had said I didn't want White Collar to turn into another House, which I was actually relieved to see end. I take that back, that was so much easier!
I'm not ready. I was pretending I was, that I had accepted it. The truth is, I'm not ready.

And yes, I just realized all the meaning of that damn title. We are on borrowed time.
But okay, enough with the cries. I'm going to enjoy every single minutes and seconds of that time, and I'll make the best of it. Back to the squee mode, because that's what matters. All the joy that show brings me.

And for those who had the patience to read this vaguely angsty ramble, here is a bonus Fat Charlie.

I'm trying not to think about it too much, because otherwise I get too sad - but yes, I know what you mean. Although I was ready for Season 6 to be the last (in that there's only so long Neal can remain on the anklet, not that I wanted it to end), six episodes is just not enough. I wasn't ready for it to be so short a season. I'm still not.

But, let's enjoy it whilst it lasts - and squee at 'Fat Charlie'!! :D

Yes. Well, 6 seasons is a good run, even with only half of a S6. I would have hated to see it last too long, but I wasn't done with it yet...
Anyway, I'm with you, I don't want to think too much about it, and I just want to be happy of what we have. That was just my morning ramblings on my way to work...

That scene was priceless, epic, just wonderful and with that scene my beloved White Collar was back.

I'm sad, too, yes, but I've already moved on, found something to mend my former broken heart.

I liked the ep as a whole, especially I liked Peter and Mozzie, and Peter and Rebecca, ist was a Peter-episode and that I loved about it.

I don't get Neal anymore. And that's what I don't like. He talks to Mozzie in a different way as he talks to Peter. His last words, "who says that's all I want?" I really don't geht him. What is more important than his freedom?

But we'll see what the next eps bring.

I know that there are mean voices discussing the El-is-preggers situation, well, I thought about it and, okay, why not?

Looking forward to the next eps.

I'm with you. I didn't even want to start watching, knowing it's just going to bring the end closer, but the end will come no matter what I do :-(

LOL yeah, last week, when the wait was getting close to over and the season seemed just like around the corner, part of me wanted to stall. Can't we wait a little longer? Just a little? It's here now, there's no rush...
Though I'm still over the moon to have the show back!

(sorry for sneaking over)

Have you seen what Matt had to say about the matter?

"... it will be tough for any future series to compare to Bomer's first series and breakout role on White Collar. "I had the time of my life on that show," he says. "I know that whatever I'm working on at that time, July of next year will come around and I think I'll feel a little hole in my heart somewhere and then I'll realize: I'm supposed to be wearing a fedora and walking down the street with Tim DeKay right now. ... I'm going to miss it. I'm not going to lie."

*sniff*

I certainly could have watched a few more seasons and never tire of it, and I am also really sad about the end but I am fine with it ending so the actors can try out new things, get new exciting roles and especially with Matt being apparently on his way to Hollywood, I can see many more great things in our future. For the rest, there's always fanfic.

(thanks for sneaking!)

Yeah, I've seen that. *pets him*

I definitely could have watched more of White Collar, and I don't think they were at the end of their course yet. Willie recently said that they were thinking they'd do 7 seasons, then be done. Which I think was about right in term of course for this show.

I'm not too worried about Matt's career. None of their careers actually. They'll do just fine. Matt is about to become a star, and the others got a nice and deserved exposure. I'm just a little wary about getting my yearly dose of Tim. And I really hope that whatever he'll do next will do him justice, and also will suit my taste...

And oddly enough, even though I've seen the end of beloved TV shows before, I've never been so attached to the characters. I am going to miss them, like big time. Especially Peter, who is my favorite and kinda unique case in term of "cop trope" on TV.

But yeah, there will be fanfics, and marathons, and ultimately, others great shows...

You know, sometimes, just sometimes, an actor is allowed to create two memorable and equally good roles. I am a fan of John Barrowman, who is mostly famous for Captain Jack Harkness from Doctor Who and Torchwood, but now also gains many new fans as Malcolm Merlyn in Arrow.

I also have been a Richard Dean Anderson fan for years. After MacGyver ended, he did a couple of movies I'd never would have watched without his involvement, and a series he claims was the best he ever did but was also very shortlived and not my kind of humor at all. You could have gotten the impression he was one of those stars that have one famous role and then you never hear from them again, and nobody dared to give him a new role.

But then Stargate SG-1 came around and again he created a memorable role as Colonel Jack O'Neill, and is well loved for it by fans.

So maybe we are lucky, and there will be another series with a great character for our favourite guys, and we will love it equally. Although it is also true that I see lots of former Stargate stars do B- and C-movies (Syfy) to pay the bills, and it saddens me, as it can't be satisfying for them.

I haven't yet watched Agent's of SHIELD. It started together with Arrow and there was a lot of competition between the fans, and I heard a lot of bad things about it. Also, I am not familiar with the universe at all, but I intend to catch up on all the movies.

Is Tim's role big in that? Do I need to watch all episodes to understand the story or can I just start with his? Is it worth it?

If you don't know Stargate, that's where I actually know Willie Garson from, long time ago! His role there was a bit similar with Mozzie, also with conspiracy theories and you thought he was a bit crazy but at the end he realized he was an alien himself and the last of his kind, which was a very tragic and touching scene. He can do humor and sadness together so well.

So I was very delighted when I saw him in White Collar! It was like welcoming back a good friend.

Stargate is also one of the shows where you wish they HAD ended earlier. The producers actually tried to end it every year but the channel demanded more. But at the end it was so different to what it originally had started out, and a lot of fight between old and new fans and also between producers and fans, with the attitude "Stop watching if you don't like what we do", and well, we did stop watching, and it got cancelled. I flew from it and it still fills me with sadness, as it could have been a franchise like Star Trek, with new series and new actors once in a while, but it seems to be totally dead now.

Since I am talking so much about Stargate here (sorry!), I think this deserves the "me and RDA" icon.

You're right. I just hope we'll get to see them again in the future, because I need them in my life!!

As for AoS, well, I'm not interested in the series itself so I just watched Tim's role. If it's just for Tim, it's worth watching his episodes.
If you don't care about the rest (like me) you can watch only Tim's scenes from 2x06 here:
http://www.teamdekay.org/2014/10/agents-of-shield-the-video/
:-)

But otherwise I can't judge on the series, since I've only seen one episode. I'm not really into superheroes stuff. But I've heard the series gets a lot better after the release of Captain America.

Tim will return in next week's episode. That should be good. Not sure if there'll be more. They're only distilling infos one at a time.
