Previously on White Collar, Peter ran, Rebecca turned out not to be who she seemed to be. At all. And Hagen died...

Wow that was, once again, an intense episode! All in all, we didn't breath often this season. Episode after episode, they keep us at the edge of our seats.

Watching Neal and Rebecca playing each other, pretending to be smitten and all, was fascinating! Rebecca doesn't know Neal knows, and Neal pretends not to know... A conman meets a conwoman and nobody can tell lies from truth...
I wasn't expecting Rebecca to be falling for Neal for real. Interesting turn, hitting a little too close to home for Neal it seems...
Jones was most probably right, it would be easier if she was just pretending.

Peter's attitude was interesting there. Of course, Peter doesn't approve Neal's habits of lies (nothing really new here), and Rebecca's betrayal validates his point that a lie/crime always comes back to bite you. Which he tells Elizabeth, but don't really tell Neal. He's much more gentle and caring with Neal, because (nothing new here either) he cares about Neal, and still believes Neal deserves to be happy.

Back to Rebecca Rachel. What a difference of character! She fights! And when she takes a cab, she knocks out the driver!
And that call at the end! Creeeepy!
MI5 explains the thorough stalking, though I suddenly find it too big for a diamond hunt.
Rewatching the whole season is going to be interesting - and painful for poor Neal who, in all the chaos and mayhem, was at least having fun with 'Becca...

Peter and Elizabeth are really leaving! Or are they? What's going to stop them now? And it can't be just Peter changing his mind, because Elizabeth now has a great job at th National Gallery. I'm WORRIED!

And I really hope that it's not going to be Neal and his new obsession with the diamond... Neal, what are you doing there?! If you don't want to be called a criminal, stop looking after treasures, especially for no reason. And even more especially when you've told Peter about it! /o\ Troubles, Neal, troubles!

Meanwhile, Peter seems to have come to peace with everything. Siegel, his release, Neal.
He didn't even question the fact that Neal told he was working with Hagen because he had Rebecca and then Neal said Hagen was the one who sent him to Rebecca. So, shouldn't this mean that Neal was working with Hagen before meeting Rebecca?

Show, this is mean! Really really mean! Having an episode called "Shot Through the Heart" and having Neal shot at! Heeee but it's only a scratch! :-)

More random squees:
- Neal and Mozzie hiding on the floor on Neal's flat! (hmmm, wouldn't just go downstair be just as efficient?)
- Peter seems to have an interesting habit of using chinese menus as decoys...
- Oh and awesome character's continuity! Peter can spot a concrete dried under the rain, because his father was in construction. No doubt he learned it there.
- Mozzie has a mind palace like Sherlock! \o/ Now that's a mind palace I'd love to see!

So much to love in this episode, especially all the wonderful angst!! *rubs hands in glee* Am a little worried about Peter and El moving - is something going to stop them? What? How are things going to go down?

I'm a little mad at Neal right now for chasing after the diamond. I can't put it into words exactly, but it feels like he's taken a big step back, character-development-wise. Not that he was necessarily reforming as such, but didn't he learn anything in S3 with the treasure? What's happened to make him want to leave the home and friends (family even) that he stayed for, even though he thought it would cost him Mozzie's friendship and his share of the treasure?

Ah well, don't worry, I'll get over it. I'm still hopeful that it'll all work out okay in the end. And this was a great episode, with lots of great scenes in it!

Oh, and yes, Mozzie's mind palace would be a wonder to behold (though also scary)!

Awwwww, I loved this episode so much! :) Throughout the episode, Peter was so worried and caring towards Neal, leading up to that sweet scene in which he forgave him for his actions in getting Peter out of prison. (And this is even without Peter knowing about the blackmail; he still believes that Neal did it because he wasn't willing to trust the system. But he has made his peace with it, and accepted that Neal did it because of loyalty to him, even if Peter wouldn't have wanted him to ...)

And smart!Peter was in fine form in this episode: using the Chinese menu trick to throw Rebecca off the scent, figuring out where the gun was hidden ...

I'm just delighted to have Our Boys back on the same page, more or less. Yeah, Peter's not going to be happy when he finds out Neal's still going after the treasure (if he finds out) but it's the sort of thing I think Peter can actually understand, if not totally accept; he knows that Neal likes the thrill of the chase, and I think for Neal it's at least as much about solving the puzzle as getting the money.

It was a great episode.

Peter was smart and caring best, glad some of the bromance is back. The Chinese menu trick and noticing the work on the cement was great. Loved how annoyed Peter was that Neal went after Rebecca after being told not to.

I agree diamond bit is a stretch she bumped off two people in the quest. It is not surprising that Neal is deciding to go after the diamond of late he has been stealing things just because its there. He and Mozzie love solving riddles. He has been wanting to cut strings of late. Neal has been more amoral this season and his session with the psychiatrist certainly did not help.

Mozzie proved again that he is an awesome friend love the scene of him having dinner with Neal on the floor. Mozzie's mind palace will be a wonder with his eidetic memory and conspiracy theories.

Hope Burkes do not move to DC.

Yes, I'm a little surprised that Neal seems so ready to go after the diamond. Mozzie didn't even need to push him!
I think maybe Neal feels like after everything he went through because of it, he kind of deserves it. Like the Music Box and the treasure. I just hope we won't end in more troubles and won't lose Peter's fragile trust he's just regained...

But we'll see. Maybe they'll go after the diamond together?!

heee yes, I love that little frown Peter has when he's concerned about Neal.
And it's good he finally has found closure on all those things. I loved the scene in the conference room.

he knows that Neal likes the thrill of the chase, and I think for Neal it's at least as much about solving the puzzle as getting the money.
Yes, it's totally true. It's just that of all the storylines, two seem to remain opened: DC and the diamond, and I just hope that it won't be Neal's involvement in the diamond hunt that'll lead to Peter and El not going to DC.

All that DC thing makes me really uncomfortable...

This is very true. But I still find it surprising that after everything that happened this season, Neal is still playing the criminal card (isn't that how he got in so big troubles with Rebecca?). Plus he just got Peter's trust back, and it's still obviously tentative between them and going after a diamond might not be the wisest move right now.

Another great ep. I have watched it 3 times already!!!! : )

I especially liked the scene when Neal says maybe it is time to step away from that part of his life and Rebecca says that she didn't think he could actually give up the criminal life and he said if it came to that he could. I love it because even thought they are conning each other they are also being honest. She doesn't think he can change (I also thought she was referring to herself) and he says if he had to he could.

You would think with all the heartache the Nazi treasure caused they wouldn't look for the diamond. Neal & Mozzie are under the delusion that if they just do things differently this time their "big final score" will work out. I wonder want it is going to take to make them see that the search for the "big finale score" will always end in heartache.

I was suspicious of Peter's promotion from the start and now I am even more suspicious of how El "conveniently" received a great job offer. One she even consider a long shot.

So many questions. My biggest one is Why Neal? Was he really the only one who could solve the mystery and find the diamond?

Yes, all the scenes between Neal and Rebecca were fascinating. So many underlying meanings and unspoken truths!

Neal was threatened twice with a gun, and with an episode name like that, I'm sure we were supposed to think it wouldn't end well. I couldn't believe they'd actually shoot Neal, though it would have changed everything for Peter and Neal. Maybe on the season finale?

Also, it would probably be easier for Neal if Rebecca loved him, but how can anybody possibly not love Neal? ;-)

I felt that in this episode there wasn't any outstanding moment between Peter and Neal, like they did in the last few episodes. But it was good to see them working together.

LOL yes, and for a second, I thought Rebecca had shot Neal in the hand or wrist in the finale scene.... I guess I'm still traumatized by someone telling me what happened in 24 when a guy wants to slip out of his handcuff...
