Seriously, show, I'm gonna have a heart attack before the end of the season!

He runs! No, not Neal, Peter!! Some nice strides around the park. Oh that intro....
(Still think we missed a good opportunity for shorts...)

But man, what a mess in his head. No wonder he needed no less than Central Park for his morning jogging...
This all "released by a bribe" is hitting him hard.
And Bruce, Jones, even El, everyone, pushing him to move on and up, it sure doesn't help. No one seems to get it, and he's all alone in his misery...

Plus Neal being under so much pressure on his side doesn't help. When Peter tries to make peace - he said he wouldn't work with Neal, and yet, he called him - Neal is in too much hurry trying to run away save Rebecca that he pushes away. And they're both so much on edge as it is, it doesn't take much to end even more upset.

Neal is finally fighting back! God I've been waiting for it the entire season!
Now that is the Neal I love. One that can turn any situation to his advantage and get the upper hand back.
He burned the chapter 13! o.o Which, only leaves Mozzie's bogus chapter as the only trace of chapter 13... Good luck for the next generation of treasure hunters...

Speaking of Mozzie, don't you love that his famous eidetic memory, established so long ago, is finally proven so useful?
Also, Mozzie's loyalty to Neal is something admirable.

Jones, the voice of reason! Yes, Neal needs to face responsibility for his own actions. Though I wish the show would actually go that road.
Oh and allow me to be a little more shallow, Jones looks goooood this season! Not sure if it's the changes in wardrobe or just that he has much more focus.

Isn't that cute, Peter and El have their favorite spot in Central Park. (notice that in 4 years, the benchs have been changed and vegetation has grown. Oh and a tree transformed into a streetlight)

then, now

I was right! She's evil and she's the mastermind behind it all! (wait - or is she?). So, well, yeah, not big surprise, but still, I didn't expect this big revelation to be so creeeeepy. Pictures of all her alter-egos? Files on the entire White Collar division?! All that for Mosconi, the Codex and a mysterious treasure? Or is there something bigger at stake?

But wait, so what is her connection to Hagen? She framed him for the painting, but that was still his painting (he was the contact for the sale). And Hagen was tailing Rebecca to her place? Or was it someone else? And why did they work together? It's not like you can easily cut a diamond in two. And I don't see Hagen as a team guy.
And where does Siegel fit in there? Was he following Hagen from that meeting with Neal? Did he have his own investigation going on Becca?
So many questions!! And so many days until friday!

A few more random squees:
- Mozzie + Hagen = fireworks! (and did you notice Mozzie's smile when Neal was about to set the codex in fire? Teddy Winters is a pyromaniac!)

- They're looking for the Blue Diamond's twin!! Ok, it doesn't exist, but still it's linked to that famous Hoppe Diamond which was originally brought back from India by a French merchant, and which was Louis XIV's most precious jewel. It was part of the French Crown Jewels that were stolen during the French Revolution. I know all this because a colleague of mine at the Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle found in the archives proofs of the whole story, and he managed to link it to the Hoppe diamond (which is a loosy recut of the original masterpiece...)

- We have an official date of birth for Peter! August, 25 1973. Except, despite his obvious good shape, seems a little too young... So actually not sure how much credit we should give to that date. Peter Nevins' birthday was June, 12 1969. I think that'd be more reasonable..

- And finally there's that little gesture that means it all (or Peter's concern at the very end, calling Neal three times, and all anger was gone)
Because, you know, Peter is a little upset right now, and he is venting and handling things the best (or not very best) he can. But this is still the same Peter who said "If anything were to happen to him, I don't think I could live with it", "From Kate to the evidence box, I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat", or "You're part of that family". So when you hear him telling Jones "don't volunteer, trust me, you'll regret it", I just find it a little heartbreaking. (Though I don't think Peter actually regrets it, and it was an advice to Jones, who isn't Peter and would probably have a harder time covering for Neal), but that doesn't take away all the previous things he said. Peter cares for Neal. Neal is family, and you don't stop loving your brother or your son just because they do something wrong.
