Wheeeeee ! Peter's back on the field with Neal. \o/

Peter makes the decisions. And he decides he wants some action. Also, their closure rate has dropped to an alarming low, so it's time to some real investigating work. And Peter is still the best. The x on the bills, the link between the cap and the holding's name. Peter's still the smartest in the room. (To the point that Supervisory Agent Jones prefers join him on the case than working on one of his own...)

Note the way Peter puts his feet on his buddy's desk and throw him his rubber ball, as an echo to episode one. :-)

Also, Peter is total badass. He reads through the suspect, he scares the probies, he wears Ray Bans, and he neutralizes the big bad guy all on his own.

But Peter is not just a badass ASAC. He's also having a lot of fun watching Neal being the other smartest guy in the room. You gotta admit, they're adorable working together.

And despite what he might have said, what he might think he should do, Peter loves solving cases with Neal. And he can't help being protective and caring.
"Watch your fingers."
"Don't let her get inside your head."
"Neal, we're gonna have to... grab you a blanket."
♥♥

Which leads us to the best squee of the week, or when the show makes fanfic trope become canon !  Drugged!Neal running to Peter's home and crashing on the sofa. ♥ :-)
Also, I want to say that I have a thing for Peter/Tim in jeans. Those long legs....

Neal didn't look bad either, this episode. And that SSA title suits Jones nicely. But no one is beating Mozzie's fashion this season.

Neal vs. the evil shrink! She did hit home a couple times! And poor Neal wasn't prepared to be manipulated that way. If there's one thing Neal hates it's not having the upper hand.

More random squees:
- Kaplan Security. Should we assume they don't really exist?
- Neal making IDs out of tabloids, tourist wallets and paper iPhones.
- Neal unable to shut up and telling Mozzie he could do anything with no height requirement. Poor Mozzie didn't see that one coming!
- Neal's face when he opens his fridge. LOL

This episode was so much fun - and lots of good character stuff too! Our boys working cases, bantering and bickering again. :D Of course when Peter's broken up about Siegel's death, the way he gets through it is by going out and working a case with Neal. And all the drugged!Neal scenes were absolutely awesome!

There was so much to love in this episode! The ending has me a little worried, but mainly excited to see where this goes! I'm hoping it leads to another of those 'Neal has to make a decision' situations like in S3 with the treasure. I guess we'll see!

Mozzie's living at June's and making Neal's life, erm, more interesting than normal!! :) The fridge scene is brilliant, and why is Mozzie wearing a shower cap when he comes from Neal's bathroom? It's not like he really needs one! LOL!!

Peter is great in this ep too - I especially liked the take down of the bad guy! Peter's got moves! :) :) But of course, Neal turning up at the Burke's house all drugged up, talking about past crimes and being all earnest is so cute - and oh so close to telling Peter about Hagen. I'm sure if Moz hadn't interrupted, he would have. And then passing out on the couch... *pets Neal* There's already two great missing scenes for that by [livejournal.com profile] frith_in_thorns and [livejournal.com profile] sholio - let there be many more!! :) :)

awww yes, poor Peter. Siegel's death seemed to have shaken him a little. And not finding the killer didn't help. {{{hugs him}}}
Lots of great stuff in that episode, and it was really a hoot to watch Peter and Neal working together. :-) Peter loves seeing Neal brag, and do his things. :-)

That last scene doesn't worry me that much. He passes through that phase every season. And he's definitely not going to cut ties with Peter or Mozzie.
I could see Mozzie cutting all ties if he really wanted to, but Neal gets too attached to the people he makes his family.
Peter will say/do something right, and Neal will run back into his arms (metaphorically).

Yes, Mozzie's shower cap was a nice touch. I'm really enjoying Mozzie's excentricities this season! :-)

I love badass!Peter. Of course, he's a great character because he is smart, and caring, and not your average FBI agent, so it makes those badass moments all the more enjoyable.

And yes, I've read though ep tags. Awesome. :-)

You're right, he does tend to pass through this phase every season, so no need to be concerned - just look forward to the metaphorical running back into Peter's arms bit! :) And angst, please, there has to be angst... this is Neal, my little angst-bunny, so there better be angst!! :D :D :D

And lots more banter please, and Mozzie being eccentric and, well, Mozzie!! :)

Oh if Neal believes he can really cut all ties and actually tries to, there's gonna be some serious angst. And I'm pretty sure there'll be some good angst when Peter will find out the truth... Don't worry ! ;-)

I so much loved this episode because, like you say, we've finally got Peter and Neal working together! Neal and Mozzie were great, and Mozzie being an annoying house guest and Neal running to Peter and being way too honest.
