That's the episode I saw filming last summer, when I went to NY for one last set stalking adventure. \o/
And gotta say, it makes a lot more sense with the scenes in the right order, and the dialogues!
Awwww Peter is having separation anxiety!
It's always been my head canon that when the anklet gets off, Peter will miss checking on Neal. Not because he doesn't trust him, but because it reassures him to see Neal is where he's supposed to be. It's like his private Facebook, with only one friend.
Mozzie has a wife!! Okay, I knew it already because of that set stalking, but I didn't know the hows and whys, and I had been wondering about it. Seriously, Mozzie married?! But it being part of a con seems totally plausible.
And just Neal's face about the whole story! And that he's so annoyed that it happened while he was in prison.. *pets Neal*
And *pets Peter* who thought he'd have a nice lunch with his wife. "I'm here" "and here's lunch" :-)
That whole kitchen scene, really!
But hmm Peter "You want me to investigate your wife?" You're not one to be offended by such a thing, hon...
Oh Mozzie, you're so fouling yourself. You keep saying you're a loner, but you're forcing your way into everyone's life. You can't live without Neal, nor without El and even Peter apparently. You need and crave for a family just as much as Neal.
Though your notion of married life is... peculiar...
And the only worse thing than a stakeout with Neal? A stakeout with Mozzie. And no game!
"you don't shush me in my car" LOL Now Peter and Mozzie are two 7 years old.
They're going after a Fabergé egg!! And with a plan a lot more simple than in Ocean's 12 (though the silliness of the O12 plot would totally fit White Collar. And actually, if you're looking for a good fic idea, I have a awesome one involving a Lookie-Loo ;-)
A word about the Panthers.
Peter loves a good high-stake case, doesn't he?
And I think after rewatch, I finally understood the whole randomizer thing LOL (yeah, I'm slow, and with no subtitles, plot details are getting a bit difficult to catch and you gotta admit the purpose of that stuff wasn't exactly clear in the previous episode)
So a very enjoyable and light episode.
Well, of course "light" that was until the very end. Woodford is back! and he's armed /o\ and he knows there's a mole!!
Well, we all knew there was a mole...
(Someone had to make that joke...)
As a bonus a photo from the set. I was here!!

Date: 2014-12-06 06:42 am (UTC)Peter and Mozzie in the car were adorable. Peter doesn't get to indulge his childish side as often as Neal and Mozzie, so it's fun to see.
That kitchen scene may be one of my very favorites for the whole series. I will never be over Mozzie just coming into the Burkes' kitchen and rearranging everything.

Can I just say how much I am enjoying this season? I can't believe there are only two eps left.

Date: 2014-12-06 01:45 pm (UTC)So now that I've adjusted to that idea, I think I'll enjoy the episode a whole lot more - because, yes, Neal is so put out that it happened whilst he was in jail and that he didn't know about it (poor Neal, lol), and Peter and Mozzie are brilliant together, and I totally adore the way Mozzie just turns up and rearranges the kitchen (and that El lets him), and the stake out scene is funny too!!
Also, the episode felt like TPTB wanted Mozzie to realise that he has a home and a family (of sorts) now, and that maybe he doesn't want to disappear and leave everyone behind after all. Because if Mozzie's not so willing to run, Neal might not be (though I still think Mozzie would leave everyone for Neal if it came to it, but not so easily now). If that makes sense?
So yes, it didn't pull me in at first watching, but I'm feeling much more squee about it now. (Some episodes are like this for me I've noticed, they get better on rewatching.)

Date: 2014-12-06 05:26 pm (UTC)I knew a lot what to expect about that episode (I knew it would be Mozzie centric, about his wife, and so that it'd probably be a standalone), but yeah, it happens that sometimes I enjoy an episode a lot more once I know what's going to happen. Because sometimes, you don't know if you need to relax and enjoy or brace yourself for some intense show... And it's better once you're in the right state of mind.
And I find that the little details, that are often overlooked on first watch, also make episodes a lot more enjoyable on rewatch.

Hee :-) They were writing fanfic right there.

Ooh, good point!
Technically, btw, you can turn on closed-captioning on any TV.

Date: 2014-12-07 02:53 pm (UTC)It's the TV from the building lounge and there's not many options. Probably to prevent us to mess with the TV.
I usually don't watch WC with subtitles, but watching it on TV (rather than computer) makes it a little harder at time not to lose part of the dialogues. But I'm watching live so I'm not complaining! :-)
