Well, first of all and correct me if I got it wrong, but he was killed off screen, right? What sort of dramatic effect is that??? And what was so troubling to me about his last appearance was that he looked and sounded so much like Peter. The only saving grace is knowing that our screen cap art goddess has struck it rich with images.

yes, he was killed off screen. That doesn't make him less dead. We need to remember that in all that it was all about Grant's story. Guest stars don't matter. (that's not the first time Tim's storyline is resolved off screen). Not that I'm defending the storytelling of that show.

He didn't sound like Peter. Peter wouldn't have cried like a girl. Peter wouldn't cheat on his wife (d'oh!). That's more like Peter's evil twin. He looks like him, but has nothing to do with him.

Well, my reactions might not be very fair to the show, as I don't care for any of the other stuff (that episode was big apparently as they introduced Agent Carter, getting ready for a spin-off).
And in all honestly, if it wasn't for Tim, I wouldn't have really cared for his character. Even if he wasn't as bad as his brother, he was still rather despicable and all in all, they're just a totally fucked up family.

Yeah, I know Christian was a real piece of work, just like his brother (I like to read veleda_k's thoughts on the show, even though I don't watch it myself, so I'm more or less aware of what's been going on there). It's just funny and a bit sweet how Tim can make you care about even a horrible character like that.

To be fair, Tim did a great job at making his character not likeable at all. He was just cold and proud, until he got all weak and pathetic...
But I can't help but root for Tim. And seeing him all bloody and crying is hard.

I'm pretty sure that the Senator's storyline was only introduced to highlight Grant's fall to the dark side. Actually that episode didn't bring much more than the previous one with Tim, apart from having Grant falling further down by murdering his own family. So I doubt we'll see the Senator again (which is fine by me, since I don't actually watch that show...)
