Trick or Treat Meme

Apparently I'm a sheep. Or maybe I just wanted to use my meme icon. ;-)

So I'm basically doing the Trick or Treat meme that's going around, but with a little twist to it.

The first five ghouls or so who come trick-or-treating at my door will get at least a three-sentence drabble written, or an artwork. I garantee the first five, but if you're late to the game, you can still leave something, I might feel inspired.

Just comment with "trick or treat!" and leave me a prompt or just preferred characters or a story if you want a timestamp, or a request for any artwork. Then go ahead and post this in your own journal so I can come trick-or-treating at your place!

"Peter, don't put so much flour at once!"

Peter grumbled as he stirred the mixture in the bowl, trying to make the lumps disappear.

"Why can't you do it, if you're such an expert?"

"Because it is your gift for Elizabeth. A cake for her birthday."

"I'm not a five years old."

Neal shrugged. "That was your idea."

"No, my idea was to call you to help me make that chocolate fondant cake that Elizabeth loves. And I know she'll love it. It is a good idea."

"And I'm helping you, by teaching you. It wouldn't be much of your gift if I was the one making it, would it?" Neal said as he dipped a finger in the bowl.

"Hey don't dip your finger in my gift," Peter protested, slapping Neal's hand.

Neal licked his finger.

"Plus, you'll be the one getting all the reward for the lovely birthday dinner, it's only fair that you put some effort into it," he said with a wink.

Peter darted him a dark look, and focused back on mixing the ingredients before conscientiously pouring the mix in the baking pan.

"I can defend myself," Diana said.

Peter chuckled. "I don't doubt that for a second."

"Really it wasn't worth it."

"Actually, it was. I won't let anyone insult my team. It's a matter of principles."

"I've heard a lot worse, you know," Diana said in a low voice.

Peter looked at her pensively. Behind the understatement, she let Peter see the cracks. It probably hadn't been easy to grow up a black lesbian in a social circle full of uptight white conservatives. He couldn't help but admire her strength of character.

"Does it bother you?" Diana asked, looking at him with a hint of defiance.

Peter shrugged. "That I got suspended for punching a guy who insulted you? No, not really."

"That I'm gay."

Peter smiled. "Does it bother you that my tie is green?" he asked.

Diana couldn't help a laugh. "Actually your tie does bother me a little. But I get the message."

Peter looked down at his tie. "What's wrong with my tie?"

Diana shot him an innocent smile and walked to the door. A hand on the doorknob, she turned around.

"Thank you, boss," she said earnestly.

"Any time, Diana."

Mozzie was still pointedly turning his back to Peter.

"Come on, Mozzie, stop being so childish."

"He is my best friend."

Peter rolled his eyes. "And he isn't allowed to have two best friends?"

"You stole him from me!"

Peter pinched his nose. He almost retorted that he wasn't a thief, but he figured it wouldn't help his case.

"I didn't do anything. He grew up, that's all. Come on, Moz, come celebrate with us."

Peter opened a bottle of wine, and smiled as he noticed that the plop of the cork made Mozzie turn around. He didn't protest when the Suit put a glass of wine in his hand, and, to Peter's satisfaction, even bowed in appreciation after he took a careful sip. If a good wine could cheer up Mozzie a little, that was worth its exorbitant price.

Mozzie turned to the people gathered in the Burke's house for Neal's release party. "Today," he said raising his glass, "the underworld is mourning one its most brilliant minds. Neal Caffrey, my best friend and former associate, I will miss you. Congratulation on being a free man again."

"Congratulation, Caffrey," Diana said, clinking glasses with Neal. "I have to say, I wasn't all that convinced you'd make it to the end of your sentence."

"Thank you for so much confidence," Neal retorted.

"I can't believe I'm going to miss you."

Diana bit her tongue and looked at her empty glass. "And I can't believe I just admitted this to you. I've had way too much wine."

Neal took a sip of his own glass. "You know, the first time we met, I really thought you were flirting with me."

Diana grinned. "I was!"

Neal raised an eyebrow.

"I was just messing with you, Caffrey. You forget that I worked on your case for a long time with Peter. I knew exactly who you were."

"And I fell right into it."

"Oh that you did. Too bad Peter spilled the beans so quickly."

"Yeah, he said you'd rather wear the hat."

That comment had Diana to laugh. "That sounds just like Peter."

Neal suddenly had an idea. He went to fetch his hat on his desk and he put it on Diana's head. She looked at him defiantly, but she didn't have her usual reflex and Neal managed to step back before she punched him.

"Take it as a souvenir," Neal said, shooting his best smile.

Diana shot him a murderous look, and suddenly broke into a smile. "I won't miss you that much." But her tone was saying otherwise.

Hee I can answer properly from my computer, not from my mobile so you'll get two congrats instead of one. I love it. I love how Neal makes fun of Peter. Its exactly how I imagine them. Neal knows how to cook ( of course, he knows) and Peter is clumsy and sweet. Thanks!
